Pie Eating Contest

The lounge was filled with students today as they watched their peers inhale pumpkin pies!  The Pie Eating Contest is part of Hallo-Week at Claremont, which started off with a movie in the Theatre on Monday and Black & Orange day yesterday.  Stay tuned for the Mummy Wrap Contest tomorrow and the Costume Contest Friday!  It's beginning to look spooky in the Spartan Nation!

Golfers on James Island

The Claremont Golf Academy played the prestigious and private Jack Nicklaus designed, James Island golf course on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd.  The weather cooperated and they enjoyed some good golfing!

Jr. Boys Volleyball Team Wins Gold at Tournament

Junior Boys Volleyball

Congratulations to the Claremont Secondary Jr. Boys Volleyball Team who went undefeated at The Duncan Christian Invitational Tournament on Oct. 24/25. Congratulations to the entire team who contributed to the tournament title.  Lorenz Vogel who was named to the Tournament All-Star Team and Trevor Copp was the Tournament MVP.  The Spartans are currently at the top of the Jr. Boys Greater Victoria Volleyball league with their last matches at Claremont on Thursday, Oct. 30th vs. Oak Bay and Dunsmuir.  Be sure to come out and cheer on our boys!!

Sr. Girls Volleyball Team Plays Amazingly Well at Tournament

Senior Girls Volleyball

The Senior Girls Volleyball team finished top 6 at the Dover Bay Tournament this past weekend.  The highlight of the weekend was a match in which the girls were down 10 - 19 and they came from behind to win 26 - 24.  They went 4 wins and 2 losses over the two days.  Congratulations girls, you played amazingly well!
