Found
A cel phone was found last night.  Please come to the office to claim it.
Also, several pairs of shoes and a personal letter to the Isle of Wight are also in the office, hoping to be claimed.

Bake Sale
Attention to all those of you who love baked goods. There will be a bake sale TODAY at lunch in the student lounge. All proceeds go towards the upcoming IGS Rails to Relevance train trip to Ottawa.

Cafeteria Services
This is what's been happening at our cafeteria this week for lunch:
Tuesday: was Pizza
Wednesday: was sandwiches & baking from Stelly's Culinary Arts
Thursday: was sandwiches & baking from Stelly's Culinary Arts
Today: is Pizza
Remember the bake sale in the lounge TODAY too, and stay tuned for next week's menu.

Lochside Halloween Dance
For all volunteers involved with the Lochside Halloween Dance, please attend a meeting TODAY at lunch in the theatre to get important information.

Peer Tutoring
There is drop-in Peer Tutoring help for Math and Science on TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS at lunch in Room 135 (Mr. Belvedere's room).  Peer Tutor request forms are located on Ms. Giese's office window in the counselling department. If you are looking for free tutoring with fellow students, this is a great opportunity.

ChatterHigh
The Fall ChatterHigh Competition continues TODAY.  Please go to www.chatterhigh.com daily and complete your quiz to earn points, then enter to win awesome prizes, while helping the school earn money!  It's fun, educational and a great way to contribute to the Spartan community.  

New York City – Spring Break
The next meeting for our New York trip is an important parent/student meeting on TUESDAY at 6pm in the Theatre.  PLEASE PLEASE and we mean PLEASE make every effort to attend if you are planning on going to NYC. Decisions on the trip need to be made soon and we need to see if there is interest in going.  See Mr. Plant or Ms. Giordano for more info.

ATHLETICS
Basketball
For all students thinking about basketball this year:  there is a very important meetings TODAY at lunch.  Boys will be in the small gym and girls will be in the big gym. Information and contacts will be taken, and information about open gyms and tryouts will be given.  All interested girls and boys grades 9 to 12 are asked to attend. See Mr. Reisig if you can not make the meetings.

Jr Boys Soccer
Attention all Junior Boys Soccer players: We will be having a short meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 264. For any students who can't attend the meeting or the game after school today, please make sure to see Mr. Mitchell before the end of the day.

Swim Team
Swim Team:  Practice is cancelled TODAY.  Do not go down to the pool to train.  Next Friday is a Pro-D day, so the next practice will be in 2 weeks on Friday Oct. 31St from 3:00-4:00pm.

CAREER CENTRE
Register for Work Experience, SSA, ACEIT or the TEX Program TODAY
Any students interested in signing up for work experience, an apprenticeship, a Camosun course or the Trades Expoloration Program, should see Mr. Arsenault TODAY to have your marks recorded on this year's transcript.

Grad Portraits
Grads:  Please remember to book your appointment on-line for your grad portraits by going to Lifetouch's website www.lifetouch.ca/victoria.  Don't put this off, or they will run out of appointment times.  Please make sure you pick up an information package from the office.

For all International students going to Whistler:  Brenda needs your form signed by your parents as soon as possible.  If you do not have the form, come and ask Brenda for one.
