      In this section you will find information on how to write the written report, A Science Fair Package which includes: the scientific method, how to write a hypothesis, how to make proper graphs, a video clip on the difference between correlation and causation, and student information on how to approach the project.

      The Vancouver Island Regional Science Fair will be held on April 15 and 16 (Sunday and Monday). Please see Mr. Vucko if you are interested in representing Claremont at the regional fair.

      In this section you will need to answer 5 questions about your project.

      End of First Month Check-in

      It is very important that you check in on a monthly basis and update us on your project status. One of the biggest mistakes that students make is not working on their project a little bit every week. Do not leave your project until the very end. At the end of the first month you should have your topic selected, if not you need to select it as soon as possible.

      • Topic 6

        End of Second Month Check-In

        At the end of the second month you should have most of your literary review complete. A literary review or lit review, is a review of any written, electronic, personal interview information about your project topic.

          End of Third Month Check-in

          By the end of the third month you should be finished doing the experiment portion of you project. 

          • Topic 8

            End of Fourth Month Check-in

            By the end of the fourth month you should have the project write-up completed. The write up needs to be five pages, 12 font, double spaced, consists of five sections: Introduction, procedures, results, conclusion and references. Please see the "wriiten report" in the helpful information section above.
