    Claremont and ROMS Bands Perform at Whistler

    The festival included a performance at Whistler, a workshop with pieces they have learned, ‘intensive workshop’ on new pieces working with professional musicians and university professors, and a mass band performance with over 200 students from across Canada.

    Well Done! Claremont Boys win Bronze.

    Claremont students Trevor Copp, Pablo Villegas, Reed Smith, Gerry Peng, and other Victoria high school students in Grade 11 and 12, won bronze this weekend in the 2018 Volleyball BC 17U-18U Provincial Championships. The Volleyball BC Provincial Championships is the largest volleyball tournament in British Columbia, and features club teams from all regions of BC.

    Award Winning David Katz Speaks at Claremont

    On Thursday, April 19, Claremont is welcoming David Katz to give a presentation on how to solve ocean pollution. David Katz is founder and CEO of The Plastic Bank, the world’s only organization to monetize plastic waste and provide an opportunity for the world's disadvantaged to collect and trade plastic waste as a currency.

    David is also the recipient of the 2017 United Nations Lighthouse award for Planetary Health, recipient of the Paris Climate Conference Sustainia community award and last December he gave a TED talk that has been viewed nearly one million times.   To top it all off, in late 2017, he was invited to the Vatican for a one-hour audience with the Pope.

    Swimmers Night

    Claremont Swimmers were at Commonwealth over the weekend at the Canadian Western Championships.  Claremont swimmers made top 16 in every discipline which contributed to a 3rd place finish for Island Swimming overall!
