Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Victoria and Area is always looking for volunteer mentors to make a difference in childrens lives.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is different from other mentoring organizations in that we ask our volunteers to commit for a minimum length of time (typically one year), yet hope that our community-based matches continue until the child graduates high school. Studies show that our mentoring services help children stay in school, avoid risky behaviour, and experience first-hand the importance of helping others in their community.
Professional staff will work with you, the child and their family, throughout the course of the mentoring relationship to provide training and support.
There are hundreds
of children from across the Capital Regional District who are matched
with a mentor each year.
Check out the volunteer orientation session schedule for a session convenient for you.
All volunteers subject to a free Criminal Record Check. Forms and submissions through the Claremont Career Centre.
