Youth Work In Trades, (formerly SSA - Secondary School Apprenticeship), is available to students in grade 10, 11 and 12 and helps them to pursue their goal of working in the Trades. This is an excellent opportunity for students to get a head start in the work force and in their chosen career while still in high school. It can also lead to a partnership with a number of post-secondary institutions Youth Train In Trades, (formerly Accelerated Credit Enrolment in Industry Training - ACE IT), to ensure the completion of their apprenticeship. They can earn up to 16 credits for Youth Work in Trades and up to 48 credits through the Youth Train In Trades program. See Mr. Arsenault for more information.
