  • Grad Tickets - How do I get them

    Important Changes to Ticket Process Payment Due by April 27, 2018

    The University of Victoria has implemented changes to the ticketing process for the Grad Class of 2018.

    Please read these directions very carefully as the process for reserving tickets has completely changed.

    Do not contact UVic in regards to purchasing tickets.

    • Complete this document and submit to the Claremont Accounts Office with the payment form.

    • Documents will be stamped in the order they are received.

    • The order received will be used by the UVic Ticket Centre to allocate best available seats.

    • UVic will process the distribution of ceremony tickets and send them by email to the grad.

    • Any special requests for seats must be indicated on this form (Split Seats, Mobility, Etc.)

    Students / Family

    Tickets will be sent to the grad from the UVIC Ticket Centre via the email provided.  Tickets can be printed in advance and brought to the venue on the day of the ceremony or the ticket can be presented on a mobile device where the barcode can be easily scanned.

    Once the tickets are distributed via email, students can contact the UVic Ticket Centre if changes are needed to the seating arrangements.  UVic is happy to make changes if seats are available. Making changes to tickets will invalidate the bar code on the exchanged ticket.

    The barcode of each ticket is linked to the seat and printing multiple tickets of the same seat will not get you in the door.  All tickets have the name of the graduating student printed on them.

    Extra Tickets

    When all tickets have been requested and Claremont determines if any extra tickets are available a date will be set and a notification will be posted when they can be purchased.  Extra tickets would be at a cost of $10.00 per ticket.

    • Grad Introduction - UVic

      This grad writeup is the introduction that will be read as you cross the stage at UVic. Your name will be read out and then your introduction will be read to the audience. If you have any questions about what to write we do have some samples in the office to look at.

      All students have arrived at University Centre Farquhar Auditorium in preparation for class photograph.

      Please remember this is rush hour on McKenzie Avenue.  Please allow enough travel time.

      Tickets are very limited.  If you have a ticket that you will not be using please return to the UVic box office for redistribution. If any become available they will be distributed on a 1st come basis starting at 4:30 from the box office at UVic on Graduation day.  Any updates on tickets will be posted on the Claremont website.

      5:00 (sharp)

      Professional class photographs taken by Lifetouch.   All students must be in photo area.


      Doors to University Centre Farquhar Auditorium open.  Grad Slide show begins for Parents in auditorium.

      5:30 (sharp)

      Convocation/Grad ceremony begins.  No latecomers allowed to enter during ceremony.  See UVic ushers.


      Photo opportunity for parents to take pictures of Grads.


      Volunteers have gathered all students.  Students walk as a group to Dinner and Dance location.


      All students have arrived at event location.  Students are seated and Dinner is served. Dance to follow.


      Grads will begin the transfer process to the “DRY GRAD event” and get changed out of formal clothes.

      Students not attending “DRY GRAD 2018” will transfer with everyone but will be picked up by parents at UVic outside Felicitas.
