Former Students of Cordova Bay Elementary
Did you have Mrs. Beattie for a teacher?  She will be retiring this June after teaching in our district for 40 years.  She has touched so many lives that Cordova Bay Elementary would like to present her with a memory book that she can cherish.  If you would like to prepare a page for the book, please use a sheet of 12” x12” scrapbook paper.  Please only complete one side of the sheet of paper.  Suggestions for the page include a photo, a special memory about Mrs. Beattie, what made Mrs. Beattie a special teacher, a piece of your early artwork, and kind words from you.  Please include on the page: the grade and year she taught you. Please have your completed sheet back to the office (at Cordova Bay Elementary) by Friday, June 3rd.  This is a surprise for Mrs. Beattie.

IGS Hero Project - Battery Recycling Campaign
Save your batteries!!  TOMORROW (FRIDAY), the IGS Hero Project will be collecting old batteries at a table outside of the lounge.  Did you know that zinc deficiency is a global health challenge? 2 billion people worldwide are affected and nearly 450,000 children die every year from complications associated with zinc deficiency.  Every AA battery contains the amount of zinc needed to save the lives of six children. Let's make a difference, Claremont!
