Return Your Books!
All outstanding textbooks from semester 1 must be returned to the Learning Commons ASAP. You will not be able to sign out new textbooks until they are returned. Questions? Please see Mr. Parker in the Learning Commons.
Please Show I.D. in the Learning Commons
When checking out materials at the Learning Commons, please bring your student picture I.D. This makes check-outs quicker, and more accurate. Your parents or friends may know who you are, but the new Library Tech, Mr Parker, does not. Acceptable I.D. includes your Student Card and School Bus Pass, each of which has your picture on it. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Congratulations to Tsu-Hao Liu; you have won Claremont Reads for January! Please come by the Learning Commons to pick up your prize.
A student has lost a small purple Coach purse, with I.D. in it. If you have come across this little purse, please help out your fellow student and bring it to the office.
There are two math contests coming up and there are still spots available. The AMC10 and AMC12 are on TUESDAY (date correction), February 7th in Block 1 in room 215. The Pascal. Cayley, and Fermat contests (which are for grades 9, 10 and 11) are on TUESDAY, February 28th in Block 1. Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board outside room 133. See Mr. Skanks or Mr. Paananen if you have any questions.
Claremont's Year-Long Drama presents the play “Up The Down Staircase,” running Feb 8, 10, 11 and Feb 15-18 at 7:30pm (and Feb 9th at 8:00pm to accommodate our Open House). This play is both funny and insightful; it tells the tale of a new teacher coming into an inner-city school in 1959, where she is full of hope and the desire to make things better, but finds that making change is never easy. Tickets are $7.50 at the door (no pre-sales).

Remember that Grad Transition is a Grad requirement - you cannot graduate without it! Please get your GT forms from the Career Centre and complete them while you have your choice of who to do your interview with. If you wait too late, formal GT interviews will be scheduled for you.
