GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Blood Drive

Our next Blood Drive is in May and there are appointments available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school.  Donors must be 17 years or older.  See Ms Chapman in room 136 to sign up.

Musical Theatre Presents “Cinderella”
Claremont's Musical Theatre program presents Rogers and Hammerstein's “Cinderella”.  Tickets are now on sale through Mrs. Marshall in the accounting office; call 250-658-6672.  7pm shows run May 10-13 and May 17-20. Additional 2pm matinees on May 13 & May 20.  $15 Adults / $12.50 for Students/Seniors / $10 for Children 12 and under.  Open seating. Plan early; this show is sure to sell out!!

Book Drive
The book drive continues from now until June 15th and is coordinated by the Victoria City Police Youth Council/Youth for Change and Inclusion. All books will help build a library for a downtown outreach program to support people struggling with homelessness.  Books will ideally be suitable for ages 18-30.  They can be dropped off  at the school office.   Questions can be directed to Nathan at: ycilibrarian@gmail.com

Pajama Day

Hey Claremont... do you ever wish you could just stay in your PJ's and come to school? Well you are in luck!!! TOMORROW (Wednesday) Student Government brings to you:  PAJAMA DAY!  Feel free to bring in those warm and fuzzy outfits and your slippers!

Claremont's Got Talent
Time is running out to sign up for Claremont's Got Talent; the show is NEXT WEEK: April 25-27.  Please sign up on the theatre door, on your own, with a friend, or with a group.  Show Claremont that you've got talent!!

CAREER CENTRE
Job Opportunity

Island Health, Tobacco and Vapour Prevention and Control Program is seeking high school students to join our team of minor test shoppers.  They employ students between 15-18 years of age to carry out the role of test shoppers, in order to reduce the sale of tobacco products to minors (18 and under). This is a paid part-time position.   Find out more from the Career Centre.

First Aid Training
First Aid with CPR "C" & AED still has seats available for Monday, May 8th at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney.  $50.00  This is a great certificate to add to your resumé!  Visit the Career Centre for more information.

Training – Face Painting
There will be a free Professional Face Painting Workshop at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney on Saturday      June 3rd.  Learn how the professionals do it!  Find out more in the Career Centre.

GRAD 2017
Scholarships

District Scholarship applications are due THIS FRIDAY April 21. Grade 12's hoping to win one of the 41 $1250 awards designated to Claremont need to get their application in by this deadline. This also includes applications for the: Ed Kubek, Joy Paquin, Coast Capital, CFUW, Marilyn Pinder, Fruit Growers and Helen White awards.
Remember the application includes a yellow sheet from the office, resume,reference letter, application letter and transcript for EACH award.  See Mr Ohl in the main office in block 3/4 if you have questions. Applications can be dropped off any time in the main office.

Mandatory Grad Assembly
Reminder: all grade 12's are required to attend a grad assembly TODAY in block 2.  This assembly will provide all details about graduation.
