GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Grade 11's – Grads of 2018

For all grade 11 students: Grads of 2018.  We will have our first Grad Council meeting this MONDAY at lunch in the theatre. Any students graduating next year are welcome to come, participate, and share your ideas!

Yearbooks Next Week!
Yearbooks will be distributed to students next week:
MONDAY 19th – Grade 12's only: right after school in the small gym.
TUESDAY 20th – grades 9-11: right after school in the small gym.
There is still time to purchase a yearbook at the Accounting office, if you wish. $45.

Locker Clean-up
There will be time set aside TODAY in block 2 for students to clean out lockers. Please take home everything that you don't need for exam prep. Locks can stay on the lockers until the end of exams.  Please use the recycling containers as much as possible, rather than filling up garbage containers.

Final Exams
The schedule for final exams is on the Claremont website.  Please triple check the list to make sure you are ready to write exams on the right day at the right time.

Report Cards

Grade 12's only: will receive their report cards at the graduation ceremony on THURSDAY June 29.
Grades 9-11:  FRIDAY June 30.  9:30-11:00. Report cards will be distributed in the Student Lounge.
Leftover report cards will be available in the office (date change) WED July 5 and THURS July 6, and then in September. 

Trades Exploration Program
Reminder to ALL students - If you would like to learn more about a career in the TRADES, you should consider signing up for next year's TEX Program, run in partnership with Camosun College!  Get a taste of Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical and Welding.  Learn about earning a wage while working towards skilled trades certification.  See Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre to register for TEX 2017-2018.

Morning Coffee - IGS 12 Fundraiser
The IGS 12 class is brewing up coffee at the “Global Cafe” in room 264 each morning from 7:30-9:00.  Delicious Level Ground espresso drinks and drip coffee are available, including flavour shots!  Espresso/Lattes $2.50 / Drip $1.50. Cash only please.

Calling all Claremont athletes: you are invited to attend the Athletics Awards Night on TUESDAY June 20th   4-6pm.  $10 ticket includes a t-shirt and pizza!  See Mr. Reisig.

Job Opportunities

A local (Broadmead) resident is looking for occasional help in the garden.  Flexible hours during the week.  Competitive wage. Get outside, earn some cash and help someone in the community! 

Help is needed for lawn-mowing on a large lot, using a self-propelled lawn mower, but there could be additional work in the future. 4-6 hours per week. $12 - $15 per hour. The owner is a retired landscaper, and he is also interested in providing mentorship about running your own landscaping business. 

An owner of an estate on West Saanich Rd (North Saanich area) needs a summer housekeeper (duties include: vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bathrooms).  $12- $15 per hour.  This could be for one summer or many summers to come (the previous house keeper worked there for multiple years)!

Baby Photos for Slide Show
Grade 12's, if you submitted baby photos for the grad slide show, please come by the office to pick them up.  They are ready to be returned to your family photo albums.
