An iPhone was found outside by a neighbour this morning. And a lovely pendant from a necklace was found in the school. Please come to the office to claim these items.
Five For The Fight – Tour de Rock Fundraiser
Our Five for the Fight campaign starts on MONDAY! Bring in your $5 donation to Block 1 or make a donation at the front office. Fund-raising will end on Spartan Day, October 6. Let's reach our school goal of $5000 for the Tour de Rock, who raise money for Camp Good Times for children fighting cancer.
Work Experience 12A & 12B Registration Deadline
Reminder that the Work Experience 12A & 12B registration deadline is September 30th! Employed students wishing to achieve work experience credits for this year must be registered by this date. Please see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre to register!

CAREER CENTRE
Canadian Universities Event – CUE
Grade 12 students interested in attending the 2017 CUE event THURSDAY Oct. 5th, at Parkland Secondary can sign up on a first come, first served basis in the Career Centre. Be sure to also pick up the parent information letter and field trip permission form package from Mrs. Rhodes. Bus space is limited and only students that return their signed permission form on time will be permitted to go to the CUE.

The Old Spaghetti Factory (downtown Victoria) is hiring! They are looking for back of house, kitchen prep and dish washing help. Flexible hours and lots of shifts available! Wage will depend on position hired for.
Typist needed. A local resident requires some helping to type up a 5- 6 page report. $11.50 per hour.

1: Retail Training (FREE) 4 Sundays in October: Oct 1,15,22,29 (not Thanksgiving Sunday) at a Brentwood Bay Thrift Store. This certificate program prepares you for first time work experiences in retail and many other work environments.
2: Food Safe Level 1, Friday, Oct. 20th Pro-D Day - 8:30- 4:30 pm. ($50).
3: Basics of Banking & Finance, Oct. 28th (FREE).
4: First Aid With CPR & AED, Nov. 24th ($50).

Peninsula Youth Health Clinic
The Peninsula Youth Health Clinic, is located at the Ocean Pier Medical Clinic, (#207-2537 Beacon Avenue in Sidney) every THURSDAY 6-8pm. This clinic offers completely free and confidential service in the areas of physical, sexual, and mental health for youth. Walk-ins are welcome. This Youth Clinic offers a judgement-free zone for all youth and is an LGBTQ safe space. For more information, call or text 250-216-8389.
