GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Lost

A pair of red Highlight cleats was lost last week.  
A BC Transit bus pass for November was lost on Friday.
A grey iPhone 6 has been lost in the school. 
If you have found any of these items, please help out your fellow student and bring it to the office.

Photo Retakes Are in the Office
The new student photo packages and I.D. cards have arrived.  If you had photos taken a few weeks ago, please come to the office to pick them up.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT

CLUBS
Math Club

Math Club meets TODAY at lunch in room 137.  We will look at how to prove by induction, and compare answers to the COMC from last Thursday.  Everyone welcome.

ATHLETICS
Girls Basketball Tryout

Girls Bball: reminder of first tryouts TONIGHT at 7:00pm.  If there is a conflict with girls having to be late due to Volleyball, that is ok, but please see Mr Reisig TODAY.

Jr. Boys Volleyball
Congratulation to the Jr. Boys Volleyball team for winning City Championships and qualifying for Islands next weekend at Dover Bay.  The boys are undefeated all season in matches (35-0) winning tournaments
at VIU, Claremont, Belmont, and now Lower Islands, defeating Oak Bay in 2 sets 25-10, 25,10.  Well done Spartans!

Canadian Armed Forces Open House

Are you interested in learning more about the Canadian Armed Forces?  Experience the C.A.F. interactive Open House - Saturday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bay St. Armoury, 713 Bay St.
*Try the C.A.F. physical fitness test (minors require parental consent to try the fitness test).
*Experience the combat simulator.
*Try on military gear.
*Check out and try using military equipment.
*Sample military survival food.
*Talk to military members about their jobs with the Navy, Army, or Air Force.
*Ask recruiters about career and subsidized education opportunities.
  Visit the Career Centre for more information.

If you are interested in registering in an Apprenticeship program or for Trades Training at Camosun College, please see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre.

GRAD 2018
Dry Grad Committee

Parents of the 2018 grad class: the next Dry Grad Committee meeting is TOMORROW NIGHT (Tuesday) at 7:00pm in the Learning Commons.  

Grad Wear 2018 – On Sale Now
Class of 2018:  Pick up your Grad Wear order form from the counter outside the main office. Deadline for order forms is TOMORROW (Tuesday)  November 7th. Examples of the clothing are on the Grad Page of the Claremont website. All payments must go through Mrs. Marshall in the Accounting Office. Clothing is expected to arrive by the end of November.

Grad Transition
A reminder to Grade 12s that Grad Transition completion is a grad requirement, and it is not too early to get it done!  Pick up your GT forms from the Career Centre and complete your GT before formal exit interviews have to be organized for you.

Peninsula Youth Health Clinic – New Hours

Important: Hours have changed - The Peninsula Youth Health Clinic is now open every Thursday from 5-7pm. Walk in's are welcome, but if you are interested in booking an appointment or would like more info, call the clinic at 250-656-4114.  Location: at the Ocean Pier Medical Clinic, (#207-2537 Beacon Avenue in Sidney)   This clinic offers completely free and confidential service in the areas of physical, sexual, and mental health for youth.  This Youth Clinic offers a judgement-free zone for all youth and is an LGBTQ safe space.
