Thank you to the men and women of our Canadian military: the soldiers, medics, equipment technicians, pilots, support staff and peacekeepers.

Sr. Boys Volleyball
Congrats to the Sr. Boys Volleyball team who pulled off an upset and defeated the #8 BC ranked Royal Bay in the Lower Island Semifinal. The 7-man Spartan team won in three sets 22-25, 25-21, 15-04. Claremont were silver medalists, losing to the #3 BC ranked Oak Bay in the final. It was a competitive final but missing four players made it difficult to over come some positional voids. The Spartans advance to the Island Championships on Nov. 17/18 at Oak Bay. Congrats to: Carter Cooper, Trevor Copp, Gerry Peng, Josh Phillips, Ayden Ryan, Reed Smith, and Pablo Villegas.
Rowing Team
This past weekend, the Claremont Rowing Team (a combination of the after school team and CSI rowers - 75 athletes) joined forces for the City Championships in freezing cold conditions. Racing took place all day Saturday and Sunday, and once again the Claremont Rowing team was well represented. Top results include 12 first place finishes (more than any other school) - the Senior Men and Women matched each other with wins in the 8+, 4x (quad), 2x (double) and 1x (single) in addition to victories in the Jr Men 8+/4x and Jr Women's Novice 8+. Congratulations on a great season Spartan Rowers!
