GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Board Games Today

Today is “Board Game Wednesday.”  Everyone is welcome to come play board games TODAY at lunch in Room 215!  Bring your friends and join in on the fun! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Huber.

Friday Night Lights
Claremont's annual tradition of Friday Night Lights is this FRIDAY Nov 24th.  Come before the 7:30 game start and cheer on our Sr. Lacrosse team under the lights at UVic and help us raise funds for KidSport.  Tickets will be available in advance from Lacrosse players for $3, or $5 at the gates. This annual tradition is a lot of fun.  Let's show up in our red to cheer on our team.  Play intros, a halftime dance presentation, the Claremont mascot and a concession all add up to a fun night for all.  Come show your Spartan spirit!

VEX Robotics

There is a VEX Robotics Club meeting TODAY at lunch in the Robot Room.  All members must attend.

Girls Lacrosse

For all girls lacrosse players: there will be a meeting at lunch TODAY in the small gym to discuss our Friday game and confirm who can play. However, there is NO practice after school TODAY.

CAREER CENTRE
Job Opportunity

The Island Health Tobacco and Vapour Prevention & Control Program is hiring for Minor Test Shoppers! This is a part-time paid position, approximately $14/hour; after school and weekend shifts. Working under the direct supervision of a Tobacco & Vapour Enforcement Officer (TVEO),  Minor Test Shoppers are required to enter stores and attempt to buy tobacco or vapour products.   Visit the Career Centre for more information.

Grads/Parents Info Night for Post-Secondary Opportunities
There will be a UVic and Camosun information night  for grads/parents TOMORROW NIGHT (Thursday) from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Ridge Theatre.  In addition to presentations by UVic and Camosun, representatives from Lattitude Global Volunteering, S.A.L.T.S., and the Canadian Armed Forces will be in attendance to provide information about their post secondary options.

GRAD 2018
Winter Gala Tickets

Grad class of 2018: tickets for your Winter Gala are on sale every day at lunch in the Student Lounge and throughout the day in the Accounting office. The Winter Gala is a beautiful evening with a fully catered dinner and dancing to follow on Wednesday Dec. 6, 6:30-10:00 pm.  Tickets are $50.

Peninsula Youth Health Clinic – New Hours

Important: Hours have changed - The Peninsula Youth Health Clinic is now open every Thursday from 5-7pm. Walk in's are welcome, but if you are interested in booking an appointment or would like more info, call the clinic at 250-656-4114.  Location: at the Ocean Pier Medical Clinic, (#207-2537 Beacon Avenue in Sidney)   This clinic offers completely free and confidential service in the areas of physical, sexual, and mental health for youth.  This Youth Clinic offers a judgement-free zone for all youth and is an LGBTQ safe space.
