GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ecuador and Coastal Peru – Summer or 2019

Interested in participating in a biological scientific expedition to Ecuador and coastal Peru in the summer of 2019? You will have the opportunity to work with scientists from around the world, visit one of the most biodiverse hotspots in the world, see large cats and primates, and snorkel with giant manta rays. For more information, see Mr. Homan in room 203 or Ms. McAvoy in room 200. There will be an informational meeting TONIGHT at 7:30 pm in the Learning Commons for all interested students, along with their parents.

Spain/France Trip
For the students travelling to Spain & France this Spring Break, there is a parent meeting TOMORROW (Tuesday) at 6pm in room 303!

Found
Three pieces of jewellery were found and brought to the office last week: a girl’s ring, a single earring, and an earring set.  Please come to the office to claim them.

Musical Theatre Presents “Annie”
Claremont's Musical Theatre program presents “Annie.”  Tickets are now on sale through Mrs. Marshall in the accounting office; call 250-658-6672.  7pm shows run Feb 28 - March 3, and March 7-10. Additional 1pm matinees on March 3 & 10 .Tickets are $15 Adults / $12.50 for Students/Seniors/Children 12 and under (groups of 10 or more, $12 each).   Open seating. Plan early; this show is sure to sell out!!

Senior Girls Soccer

All girls interested in playing Senior Girls Soccer: there will be a kick-around on THURSDAY after school  at the LOCHSIDE TURF.

CAREER CENTRE
MEI International Academy

An MEI Academy representative will be at Claremont TOMORROW (Tuesday) at lunch in the Student Lounge. MEI is an Ontario-based international education company that specializes in experiential learning, academic coursework, and educational travel. All programming is designed for secondary school students and offers Semester, Trimester, and Summer Programs for students in grades 10, 11, and 12. Lectures are conducted at historical sites, cultural landmarks, museums and galleries, in various locations.  Stop by the Student Lounge at lunch on Tuesday to find out more!

Job Fair – Butchart Gardens
The Butchart Gardens is hosting a Job Fair TOMORROW NIGHT (Tuesday) from 6:00 - 8:00 pm., in the Coffee Shop. They are recruiting for spring and summer jobs in most departments, with wages starting at $15.00 per hour.  Visit the Career Centre for more information.

Soldier For A Day - Canadian Armed Forces Army Reserve
Last chance to apply for this SATURDAY's Soldier for A Day Work-Study Program! Students over 15 years of age are invited to apply for this FREE opportunity to find out what the Armed Forces Reserves are all about and what educational and employment opportunities are available with the CAF.  Please see Mrs. Rhodes in the Career Centre for application information.

S.A.T. Exam Preparation
Students planning to attend College or University in the US are required to write an S.A.T. exam before admission. St. Michael's University School is offering an SAT preparation course this Spring from March 3 - May 3.  Register at www.smus.ca/satprep or visit the Career Centre for more information.

Job Fair – Sidney
The SHOAL Centre in Sidney is hosting a Job Fair this FRIDAY, February 23 (Pro-D Day) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm! Come to this FREE event with your resume to meet employers such as BC Transit, Black Press, Fairway Market, Save-on-Foods, Slegg Lumber and more!  Learn about volunteer opportunities with the Royal BC Museum, Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea, Peninsula Players and others. Door prizes will be given to the first 50 to register!  Visit the Career Centre for registration information.

Grad Transition
Remember that Grad Transition is a grad requirement.  Work on completing your GT sooner than later so you can choose who to have your Exit Interview with.  Otherwise, a formal interview will be scheduled for you in April. Get your GT forms from the Career Centre.

Dry Grad Fundraiser - Family Portraits
Receive a Hudson Wren Black & White Portrait Gift Certificate valued at $450. The gift certificates are $100 for a weekday appointment and $150 for a weekend appointment. The entire sitting fee, $100 or $150, accordingly, will go directly to the Claremont Dry Grad 2018!  Appointments are for the month of April only! Youth Clinic

The main Victoria Youth Clinic is open to all youth and is located at  818 Douglas Street on the 3rd floor. It is open Monday to Thursday 11-5 and Friday 11-4.
