GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Grade 9 Immunization Forms

Reminder for grade 9 students to please get the immunization forms signed by a parent or guardian and return them to the school office this week.

Numeracy Exam
In addition to the normal January and June exam sessions, Claremont will also be offering a chance to write the Numeracy Exam on November 5. If writing in January or June does not work for you, or if you would like an extra opportunity to score well on this exam, please sign up in the office.  Space is limited to 30 students in a morning session, and 30 in an afternoon session.

Beef Jerkey - Fundraiser
The Senior Boys Basketball ‘Travel Team’ will be selling Beef Jerky products at lunch TODAY in the lounge. Come check out some NEW products!  Snack range from $2 - $3.50.

New Bus Passes
If you have been waiting for the new batch of bus passes to arrive, they are here!! Come pick them up in the office

Photo Retakes - Oct. 25
Photo retake day is THURSDAY October 25 in block 1, if you missed the first photo day, or if you want a new photo taken.  If you want retakes, you must return your complete original package (and I.D. card) to the photographer at the time of retakes. 
Purchasing photos is optional, but all students in all grades need to have school photos taken, for school identification purposes (grade 12’s too - even if you are having grad photos taken).  Order forms are available in the office. There is also an option to order photos on the Lifetouch website; the office also has those order forms.

CLUBS
Spirit Squad – Hat Day!!

Our first Theme Day of the year is this THURSDAY and it is Hat Day!!  Enjoy wearing your favourite hat all day long. We will take a group picture in the student lounge at the start of lunch of anyone who's wearing a hat.

Training Opportunity

Alert First Aid with CPR "C" & AED.  There are seats still available for this first aid training session this SATURDAY, Oct. 20th at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney.  Cost is $50. Visit the Career Centre for registration information.

On-call weekend server is needed at SHOAL Centre in Sidney. $16.58/ hour. Come work in the dining room where residents and customers enjoy meals together. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of food service duties, and may assist Cooks in food preparation. Must be minimum 16 years of age, have FOODSAFE certification and First Aid.

Oktoberfest
at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney - Saturday, October 17th.  2 volunteers needed 4:45pm to 8:00 pm, showing guests the coat rack and to their tables, ensuring water and coffee are available and helping to clear tables. Dinner is free for volunteers.

Peninsula Youth Clinic

The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.
