How to Submit Your 30 Hours Work Experience or Volunteering
Reminder to students in Grades 10-12.... ESPECIALLY UPCOMING GRADS:
One component of Career Life Connections is to complete 30 hours of work experience or volunteering. You can provide proof of your 30 hours by:

See Mrs. Watson in Office 222 or email her at cwatson@saanichschools.ca to submit your work/volunteering information, or if you have questions.

CSI Rowing
The rowers had a very long day on Saturday up at Quamichan Lake in Duncan for the annual Maple Bay Regatta. This regatta saw multiple wind delays resulting in a very long day (the students were up there at 6:30 am). There were some great lessons learned, great performances and the results achieved are a direct result of the hard work that the students have been doing since September. Some of the highlights are:
- The CSI athletes being phenomenal role models and ambassadors of the school
- our two Junior B girl doubles (grade 9/10) getting a 1st and 2nd in the event
- This was Stella Graham and Tiegan Sculz in 1st and Matisse Hardy and Sophie Schlatter in 2nd
- Quinn McCoy getting 4th in the Junior A boys single (Grade 11/12) and dominated the Junior B boys single.
- Kati Chow getting 3rd in the lightweight single and then going on to race the lightweight girls double shortly after with Matisse Hardy to win it despite never having rowed together (it was an on-the-day crew change).
- Tegan Zecher putting on a great performance in the junior B girls single to get 2nd
- Yechan Kim and Mattis Kley getting 2nd in the lightweight boys double, and Kai Stenstrom and Filippo Wolfelsperger getting 3rd
- Gerrit Schaefer and Fabio Geisler rocketed down the course getting one of the fastest times of the day in their Junior A boys double to win their event.
- Our Junior A girls quad of Evey Lewis, Julia Ottenbreit, Kati Chow, and Carla Steckhan achieved a well-earned 3rd place.
- Yechan Kim performed well again getting a 3rd place finish in the lightweight boys single.
- To cap off the day, the junior girls of Tiegan Sculz, Stella Graham, Tegan Zecher, Sophie Schlatter, and Ashley Chu put in a fantastic performance in the junior girls coxed quad to win their event.
Congratulations on a very strong performance by all!!! Next Regatta will be the Brentwood College International Regatta. April 29-May 1st.
