Grad Rehearsal – May 24

Reminder to all grads: There is a mandatory grad rehearsal at the UVic auditorium on TUESDAY May 24th.  All graduating students must be in the Ridge Theatre BEFORE 9:00am to prepare for the departure on busses. Students will return to Claremont by bus no later than 12:15pm. Grads are NOT permitted to drive their own vehicles to UVic unless you have made prior arrangements with Mr. Westhaver.

If any student plans to wear high heels to grad, this is a good opportunity to wear them to experience how they feel for walking in and going up and down stairs.

Grad Gowns

Grads, please pick up your Gown at the front office. We have some extras for sale; please see Ms Waller in the accounts office. $25 first come first serve.

Silent Auction

If you still need to pick up your silent auction items, they are in the accounting office with Belinda Waller.

Extra Grad Ceremony Tickets

We have been receiving questions about how grads can receive extra tickets for the graduation ceremony. We understand that many grads hope to include other family members in the audience for this special event. This is the current status of tickets:

Once we know for certain how many students are attending the grad ceremony and they have all had a chance to receive their first two tickets, we will know how many tickets are still available.  Once we know the available number, we will put together a plan to make them available in the fairest way for families.  We anticipate that we will announce this information and the process to get more tickets through the Grad Page and the Daily Chronicle around the end of May; please note that this information will come from Claremont staff, not from UVic.  Extra tickets will be at a cost of $10 per ticket. A wait list will not be taken.

Also good to know is that the ceremony will be live-streamed for relatives far and wide to view; as well, there will be tv monitors in the UVic Centre foyer if people wish to be close by the activities.
