GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Friday Night Lights
“Friday Night Lights” is almost here!  Come out and support your CSI lacrosse team as they take on team USA TOMORROW night at UVic. This is an awesome annual tradition.  Make sure you are part of it!!.  Tickets will be available for purchase TODAY and TOMORROW in the student lounge at lunch time.  They will be $5, or $15 with a Claremont scarf, and all proceeds going to Kid Sport.  Claremont scarves can be purchased in the Spartan store.

Community Survey Project
Youth for Change and Inclusion (YCI) has created a survey for anyone in the school--
students, staff and visitors -- to take part in.  We are asking people to complete the statement, "If you really knew me, you'd know..."   In 2 weeks we will put your answers together to create a Claremont community response that will be posted for everyone to read.   Please make your responses anonymous.  We want your thoughts: we don't need your name.  The survey boxes are located in the Learning Commons, at the main doors to the school, in the theatre, and at the end of the horseshoe near the band room. Thank you for participating!!

Homeroom Lists Posted
Report cards will be distributed THIS AFTERNOON in homeroom, in the last 10 minutes of the day.  The homeroom lists have been posted in the horseshoe, so make sure you know where your homeroom is.  The class schedule has been adjusted to allow for homeroom time, and the schedule has been posted  by the office.

ATHLETICS

Intramural Basketball
The next intramural sport will be 3 on 3 basketball.  Teams can sign up on the sheet posted outside the main gym doors. There are both senior and junior divisions and teams must be co-ed.  Sign up will continued TODAY and TOMORROW and there will be a Captains meeting on MONDAY Nov. 18h at lunch.  Contact Liam McManaman or Wilson Gurny for more info.

CAREER CENTRE

Pacific Design Academy
Just a reminder that there will be a rep from the Pacific Design Academy here TODAY at lunch in the Career Centre!  If you are interested in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design or Building Technology, be sure to pop in!
University of Calgary
There will be a rep from the University of Calgary here after school TOMORROW (Friday the 15th) near the lounge, so make sure you stop by and check it out!

Post Secondary Institutions of BC
Any students interested in going to Parkland on Monday, November 25th in the morning to meet with representatives from UVic, Simon Fraser, Royal Military College, VIU, Royal Roads, Thompson Rivers, Camosun College and Quest: please sign up in the Career Centre as soon as possible.

Volunteer Opportunity
Any students interested in or needing volunteer hours towards your Grad Transition requirement, Lochside Elementary School is looking for reading tutors with the students after school on Wednesdays.  Please see Mrs. Pryer in the Career Centre if you are interested.
