Congratulations to Mr. Bussoli's Intro to Business 10 and Business 140 students. They are the winners of the Block 1 food drive competition, bringing in just under 1900 food and drink items. Thank you to everyone who participated. The Mustard Seed was extremely appreciative of the overwhelming number of donations overall. You have helped out many families in our community.

cc350
The cc350 enters its fifth year on FRIDAY, May 9th. From cyclists to longboarders, zero emisssion warriors will go 350 laps around Claremont's track for a total of 140km to raise money and awareness about climate change initiatives. Any students, teachers or members of the community are welcome to help us continue the tradition. Teams must register through IGS in room 264 or download the registration information from cc350victoria.ca and hand it in for the whole team. Registration is $50/team or $10/person for teams over 5 members, however sponsorship sheets are available for those who wish to offset their registration fee through community or corporate sponsorship. Students must receive permission from subject teachers to miss classes. Students interested in submitting teams for the cc350 bike relay should see Mr. Neufeld or Mr. Mitchell in room 264 to get a registration form. Teams must have registered by the end of TODAY.
The event itself begins at 8:30am with registration, and wheels hit the track at 9am. There will be coffee and baked goods available for purchase in the morning, and food is available at lunch through the Mexican food truck, and the Grillverado will be on hand thanks to the rugby team.

ATHLETICS
Rugby
Congratulations to the 26 rugby players who were away in Ottawa last week. They were excellent ambassadors of Claremont. Aside from forging strong friendships with their host families and seeing some amazing sights, they also played some outstanding rugby. The boys went 11-0 in their games out-scoring their opponents 343-50. Both the senior and junior teams won their respective divisions at the Woodroffe 7's Tournament. This THURSDAY after school we are hosting both the city Junior and Senior semi-finals. Spectators would be very welcome! Go Spartans!
Intramural Speedball
Intramural Speedball starts this weeks. Teams who have registered need to send a representative to the Captains Meeting TODAY at lunch in the big gym. Only teams represented at the meeting will be entered into the tournament. Games start on Tuesday.
Track & Field
There is a mandatory Track and Field meeting TODAY at the start of lunch in the small gym.
