Peer Tutoring
There is drop-in Peer Tutoring help for Math and Science on TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS at lunch in Room 135 (Mr. Belvedere's room).  Peer Tutor request forms are located on Ms. Giese's office window in the counselling department. If you are looking for free tutoring with fellow students, this is a great opportunity.

There is a Math Club meeting TODAY at lunch time in Room 133.

ChatterHigh
It's that time of year again Claremont!! The Fall ChatterHigh Competition starts TODAY.  Please go to www.chatterhigh.com daily and complete your quiz to earn points, then enter to win awesome prizes, while helping the school earn money!  It's fun, educational and a great way to contribute to the Spartan community.  See Mrs. Pryer in the Career Centre for more details!

Intramural Volleyball
Intramural Volleyball begins TODAY at lunch in the big gym. Teams need to be changed and on the court within the first 5 minutes of lunch. All spectators are welcome.

CAREER CENTRE
Fire Camp Applications Due Wednesday
A reminder for any students interested in attending Fire Camp during Spring Break: the application deadline is TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 15th. You can pick up an application package and submit them to Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre.

Vancouver Film School
Are you interested in pursuing a career in film, television, games, animation or design?  If you would like to learn more about these industries, consider attending the Vancouver Film School's information session on TUESDAY October 21st at 6pm, at the Marriott Hotel in Victoria.  Go to their website to register and save your seat!

Work Experience & Apprenticeship Programs
The deadline to register for work experience, apprenticeship and Camosun courses has been extended to this FRIDAY, October 17th. If you would like to receive credit for these this year, please see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre to sign up!

Grad Portraits
Grads:  The photo shoots begin TODAY for grad portraits. Are you ready?  Have you booked your appointment?  If you haven't, please book your appointment ON-LINE by going to Lifetouch's website www.lifetouch.ca/victoria.  Don't put this off, or they will run out of appointment times.  Please make sure you pick up an information package from the office.

All Night Dry Grad
All parents are invited to attend the first All Night Dry Grad meeting TONIGHT.  Please join the committee at 7:00 pm in the Learning Commons.  The committee is looking for all kinds of volunteers to make the All Night Dry Grad a success. Parents of all grades are welcome.

Thrifty Smile Cards
You can help support the All Night Dry Grad by loading up on groceries at Thrifty Foods.  Cards can be picked up in the office.  Parents from all grades or family and friends can use these.
