GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Art Displays
The art classes from semester one have their projects on display in the Ms. Jardey's art room, room 263.  There is an open invitation for all students and staff to drop in TODAY and TOMORROW during lunch to see some excellent art work.

Math Club Meeting
There is an extremely important Math Club meeting TODAY at lunch to discuss the AMC math contests happening next week. If you cannot make today's meeting, please see Mr. Paananen in Room 133 sometime this week.

Drop-in Peer Tutoring
A reminder that there is drop-in Peer Tutoring for Math and Science on TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS in room 134. This is a good chance to study for exams!  If you would like an indiviual Peer Tutor, please fill out an application located in the counselling office with Ms. Giese.

Reminder for AP and Camosun Students
This is a reminder for any students taking AP Chem, AP Physics, AP Bio, Crim 154, Psych 130, or Electronics 138:  you need to get your Camosun application in to Mrs. Pryer ASAP!  If you missed the important meetings last week, please see her in the Career Centre right away. Any Business, Accounting and Marketing students should ensure your documents have been submitted to Mr. Bussoli.

Book Drive
Last week's book drive, led by IGS 10 students, was very successful; 12 heavy boxes of books were collected to help spread the joy of reading.  Thank you to everyone who donated!

ATHLETICS
Curling Team
Congratulations to the Claremont Curling Team, who participated in the Vancouver Island Playdowns in Qualicum this weekend. Our boys' team finished 2nd on the Island, and our girls' team finished 3rd on the Island.  Well done, Spartans!

Basketball Spirit Game
The Athletic Leadership class is organizing Spartan Game Day for TOMORROW NIGHT, January 27th. All students and staff are invited to attend the Senior Girls and Boys basketball games. There will be anthems, announcers, contests, prizes and lots more! The girls game starts at 5:30 and the boys at 7:00pm. Lets fill the bleachers and cheer on our teams! Tickets are $2 and are being sold in the student lounge at lunch. Money raised goes to KidSport.  GO SPARTANS!

CAREER CENTRE
Volunteer Opportunity
The UVic Vikes is looking for volunteers for the 2015 Speedo CIS Swimming Championships being held at Commonwealth Pool, Feb 19 - 21. There are a variety of positions they need filled and no experience is required. Please see Mrs. Pryer in the Career Centre for more information.
