GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Spring ChatterHigh Competition Starts TODAY!
It's that time of year again Claremont for the Spring ChatterHigh Competition! It starts TODAY (Monday) and will run until May 22nd. Go to www.chatterhigh.com daily and complete a quick and easy quiz for a chance to win awesome prizes and help the school win prize money. It's fun and educational and a great way to contribute to the school community!

Popcorn Fundraiser
The Global Studies 9 class will be selling Kernels Popcorn on TUESDAY April 14th at lunch in the Student Lounge.  Pick your favourite flavour; popcorn will be $2 per bag.

Free Sail Training Opportunity for One Student
Have you always wanted to learn how to sail but haven't had the opportunity? Well now could be your chance! If you have no official sailing experience and would like to learn this Summer for FREE through the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club, see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre for details. There is only one space available, so get your application in soon!

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Minute to Win It
Come play "Minute to Win It” this TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY at lunch in the theatre. You can sign up in the theatre or just show up to play or just watch the fun.  See you there.

ATHLETICS
Scrum Fest
Thank you to all the staff and students who came out and supported the Spartan rugby teams at last week's Scrum Fest. The event was another huge success. Special thank you to numerous student volunteers who made the event possible and were so welcoming to our nearly 1200 guests. 

Rugby
Congratulations to the Senior Boys 7-A-Side rugby team who placed third at yesterday's Island Championship and qualified for a trip to the BC Championships later this month. Claremont was the highest placing public school on the Island.

CAREER CENTRE
Ryerson University is Coming to Claremont
A representative from Ryerson University will be at Claremont TOMORROW morning (Tuesday) at 8:30am in the student lounge. Be sure to stop by and get more information about this great post secondary institution.

Camosun College Visits Claremont
A representative from Camosun College will be available for one on one appointments next week on TUESDAY,  April 21st for any students either planning on or considering attending Camosun and have questions. Students must sign up for a time slot in the Career Centre.

GRADUATION 2015
Grad Transition Interviews
If you are in Grade 12 and have NOT yet completed your Grad Transition Interview, please pick up your appointment slip in the Career Centre right away.  The interviews will take place THIS WEDNESDAY April 15th in the Learning Commons.  See Mrs. Pryer if you have any questions or concerns regarding your appointment.

Free Business Courses for Post Secondary
Are you a current Gr 12 interested in taking Accounting 110 or Economics 103 Dual Credit Camosun Courses this summer?  Please see Mr. Bussoli in Room 234 as soon as possible for more information.  Applications are due this week on April 15th for this Summer entry. Only 5 seats are available for each class. This is an amazing opportunity to get some Post Secondary Courses for FREE before you start your first year in Post Secondary this September.

Grad Assembly
Grads:  There is a very important Grad Assembly next week on TUESDAY April 21 in Block 3. If you are graduating, you MUST attend. If you have classes at another school at this time, it is important that you make necessary arrangements to be at Claremont to attend this assembly. You will be receiving all of the information and details you and your parents need about your graduation.
