GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Report Cards
Report cards will be distributed in home room on WEDNESDAY April 29th.  The class schedule will be slightly adjusted to allow for a home room.  Home room will be 10:16-10:25.

Singer Needed to Perform with Jazz Band
The Claremont Jazz Band will be preparing an arrangement of "It's Only a Paper Moon" with a vocal soloist, for their Spring performance. Auditions for the solo are open to any student at Claremont, and will take place at 8:00 a.m. in the band room on WEDNESDAY May 13th. Students who wish to have a copy of the sheet music of the vocal part can see Mr. Clausen in the band room.

Summer Session: Recreational Leadership course
Any students who registered for the Summer Session "Recreational Leadership" course, there is an important meeting this WEDNESDAY at lunch in the Big Gym. If you cannot make it, please see Mr. Ohl before Friday.

Welcomer's Club
The Welcomer's Club (formerly the Immigration Club) is having an important meeting on WEDNESDAY at lunch in room 303.  Please try your best to attend.

Popcorn Fundraiser
The Global Studies 9 class will be selling Kernels Popcorn TODAY and every TUESDAY at lunch in the Student Lounge.  Pick your favourite flavour; popcorn is $2 per bag. 

Music Dept - Spring Cafe & Silent Auction
The Claremont Music Department will be hosting the Spring Cafe TONIGHT in the Learning Commons from 7:00-9:00 pm.  Come enjoy a great selection of musical performances from students.  There will also be many silent auction items to be won!  Admission is by donation.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Food Drive
Claremont is hosting a food drive all this week (April 27 - May 1) to support the Mustard Seed.  This is a block 2 competition.  Please show your Spartan spirit and donate non-perishable food item to help families in need.

Spartan Day
FRIDAY May 1st will be Spartan Day!!  Wear your house colours!  There will be an extended lunch period where all Spartans can enjoy games, music, and fun.

ATHLETICS
Track & Field meeting
There is a mandatory Track and Field meeting on WEDNESDAY at the start of lunch in room 137 (Mr. Nelson's room).  All students who have competed at league meets at UVIC this season must attend.

Rugby
Congratulations to the senior boys 7-a-side rugby team. They competed at the provincial championship this past weekend in Vancouver, where they finished 5th best in the province!
Come out and support the boys rugby teams TODAY after school as they play host to Brentwood College. Junior boys kickoff at 3:00 and the senior boys at 4:15.  Go Spartans!

GRADUATION 2015
Grad forms
Grads:  Remember to hand in your forms and payment for the grad ceremony, dinner, dance and All Night event this week.  Deadline for forms and payment is FRIDAY May 1st.  Please bring them to the accounting office.

INTERNATIONAL
Tofino Trip
For all International students going on the Tofino trip:  There is an important meeting this FRIDAY at lunch in the IGS room 264.  Please see Ms. Giese for information if you can't attend.
