Course Selection Forms
If you missed the assembly on Wednesday, the course selection forms for next year can be picked up in the office or printed off from the Claremont website.  Please return these forms to your home room next week on TUESDAY March 1st.

Blood Drive & Bone Marrow Donation Registry
There are still donation times available for our blood drive this MONDAY Feb 29.  See Ms Chapman.
Donors: remember to bring picture id and be well hydrated; check your appointment time outside the Learning Commons.
Bone Marrow Donation registry - just drop by the Learning Commons between 10 and 4 on Monday.

Year-Long Drama Play
Year-Long Drama continues its presentation of “The Good Person of Szechwan” this week: Feb 23-26 at 7:30pm.  This play is a drama and explores what it means to be a 'good person'.  All tickets $10 at the door. If you bring a non-perishable food item you can get a $1 off your ticket price (maximum $5 off).  Donations go to Mustard Seed food bank.  This play deals with mature subjects, so is not recommended for children under 12.

Peer Tutoring
There are Peer Tutors in a variety of subjects available to help you at lunch in the Learning Commons Monday to Friday. Please check in near the start of lunch. You can bring your lunch.

Cordova Bay School – Fundraiser for Parents
Parents: need a fun night out? Gather your friends for a night of adult fun. The Cordova Bay School silent auction/fundraiser is happening tomorrow: FRIDAY Feb 26 at the Cordova Bay Beach House.  It's not too late to buy tickets after school or at the door at the Beach House (ticket sales 6:30-8:30)  at 5109 Cordova Bay Road.  Tickets are $25 per person which includes appetizers, music and great silent auction items (spa, wine, golf,  Canuck and Royals tickets, restaurant and food, gymnastics lessons, dance tuition and much more).  Please join in on the fun and support Cordova Bay School PAC.

ATHLETICS
Track & Field
For all students wanting to join the Track & Field team this year:  there is an important sign-up meeting on FRIDAY at the start of lunch in Mr Nelson's room 137.  Please see Ms  Giese in the counselling area if you can't attend.  Practices start next week.

Girls Soccer
For all gr 9 and 10 girls wanting to play soccer this year:  there will be a brief but very important meeting on FRIDAY at lunch in the  main gym.  We will generate a list of names and discuss the season and when practices will start.  All are welcome.  See Mr. Reisig if you have any questions or if you can't attend.

Job Opportunities
Weekend on-call server is required in the dining room at the SHOAL Centre where residents and customers enjoy meals together. $16.75/hr. This position performs a variety of food service and cashier duties, and may assist Cooks in food preparation. Qualifications: registered YEP student, minimum 16 years of age, has FoodSafe and First Aid certificates, and clear Criminal Record Check.  Visit the Career Centre for contact information.

Full-time and part-time employees are wanted to fill Kiosk Attendant positions at Mattick's Farm Mini Golf for the 2016 season. Week-ends and evenings, starting Spring Break (weather dependant).  $10.25- $12.00 per hour, depending on experience.   Food Safe Level 1 required.  Please see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre.

Esthetics & Spa Therapy - Scholarship Opportunity
Academy of Excellence is offering a full tuition scholarship for the Esthetic and Spa Therapy Program! The Academy of Excellence has been training students in beauty and wellness for over 50 years!  Show them why you are one of the best candidates to win!  Application deadline is May 31, 2016   

UVic News
Undergraduate application deadline for September 2016: February 28, 2016.    
Scholarships:  UVic will assess students for an entrance scholarship based on the grades they self-report. Please do not enter 100% as your expected grade, as they will require verification from your teacher and this may delay admission decisions and scholarship assessments.
Online course grades: students must complete their online courses no later than May 31, 2016,  to ensure that UVic receives all final grades by July.

The Sky's No Limit - Girls Fly Too!
Abbotsford- the world's largest outreach event to inspire female future leaders in Aviation, Aeropsace, Marine and Defence.  The Sky's No Limit - Girls Fly Too! events are fun, hands-on and completely free!  Also free flights available to female first-time fliers of all ages!  All participants - male and female - are encouraged to try their hand at many aviation, aerospace, marine and defence activities.  Families welcome!  Sat/Sun March 12-13, 9-5:30 at the Abbotsford International Airport.  More information in the Career Centre.

Coast Capital Savings Youth Team
Coast Capital Savings has 8 positions available (in the Greater Victoria area) for their Youth Team.  These positions offer part-time employment as well as acquiring valuable skills that will get you ahead in life and your career!  The deadline for online applications is March 31.  Information sheets are available in the Career Centre.
