    Claremont's Dance Program

Classes offered during the 2021-22 school year are Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Linear Dance (Junior & Senior). Throughout the semester, students are taught technique and choreography in a variety of styles: the four main styles we focus on are Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary, however dance students will also get a taste of other dance styles and related fitness classes, with guest instructors such as Bollywood and Yoga. Students also have the chance to choreograph a piece of their own in small groups. There may be some smaller performance opportunities throughout the semester, but the focus of the course is working towards the Night of Dance performances which take place at the end of each semester. Dance is a fun and healthy way to spend part of your school day, despite how little, or how much dance experience you have.
