GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Pie a Grad; Pie a Teacher

IGS Uganda is sponsoring a fun fundraiser.  Come by the lounge TODAY at lunch and smoosh a cream pie into the face of a grad or a teacher!!  So far, we have the following teachers lined up: Mr. Mitchell, Ms. Paas, Mr. Macri, Mr. Cannon, Ms. Andiel, Mr. Gabriel, Mr. Danyluk and Mr. Sachtlund.  So far, the grads include: Aidan F., Annie B., Abbi P., and many more!  For $2 you can pie a grad.  For $5, you can pie a teacher.  All money raised will go to a fundraiser for a school in Uganda.

Do you like food trucks and sitting in the sun all day?  Well so does IGS 10!!  Come and celebrate Claremont's 7th annual cc350 on June 3rd!!  It is a bike relay to raise awareness for carbon emissions.  Grab a group of friends and come ride with us.  Team registration will be starting soon.

Musical Theatre – Crazy For You
Starting next week, the Claremont Musical Theatre program will be presenting “Crazy for You” at the Ridge Theatre. This show is a fun musical comedy featuring classic Gershwin songs.  Come see the many talents of our Claremont cast and crew!!  Shows run May 18-21 and May 25-28 @ 7:00 pm.  Tickets are on sale at the accounting office:  $12.50 for students/seniors, $15.00 for adults. Plan ahead – this show will be a hit!!

Battery Recycling Campaign Continues
The battery recycling campaign is continuing!  EACH FRIDAY in May, the IGS Hero Project will be collecting old batteries outside of the lounge during lunch time.  2 billion people worldwide are affected and nearly 450,000 children die every year from complications associated with zinc deficiency. Every AA battery contains the amount of zinc needed to save the lives of six children. Let's make a difference, Claremont!!

Love is Love Conference.                                                                                                                        

Lambrick Park Secondary is hosting the second annual city-wide Love is Love Conference on FRIDAY, May 20th.  Students interested in attending this conference MUST come get an information and field-trip form from Ms. Gordon-Cooper.

There is a new $750 bursary available and the one-page writeup is due by this FRIDAY May 13. More info can be found on the scholarship page.

Music Auditions for the Grad Ceremony
If you wish to do a music performance at grad, audition dates are TODAY at lunch in the choir room.  Please sign up at the office.
