GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Grade 9 Immunizations

Grade 9's -  if you have not handed in your immunization forms, please check your lockers and backpacks for any forgotten forms and bring them to the office.  If you did not receive an immunization form in your home room, there are a few extra copies in the office.

Blood Drive
The first blood drive of the year is on October 3.  Sign up is in room 136 with Ms Chapman all this week at lunch time.  Donors must be 17yrs old by Oct 3.  Let's roll up our sleeves, Claremont!

Saanich Peninsula Basketball - U18 Girls Fun Night League
Saanich Peninsula Basketball is looking for under-18 girls to join their Girls Fun Night League. Location will be at Bayside Middle School on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. from October-March.  Cost is $50.  No experience necessary.  Registration is  through Panorama Recreation Centre.

Are you interested in helping refugees in our community and around the world?  Then come to a meeting TODAY at lunch in Ms Chapman's class, room #136, to find out more about the Welcomers Club.

Swim Club
Are you interested in swimming?  Come to a meeting for the Swim Club TODAY at lunch in the small gym to hear more.  Swimmers of all abilities are welcome!

Field Hockey Club
Field Hockey Club meets on MONDAY, Sept. 26th, right after school.  No experience needed.  Please see Ms. Taylor in the PE office for more information.  Remember to bring your participation forms.

CAREER CENTRE
Canadian Universities Event – Grade 11's and 12's

A Canadian Universities Event is being hosted by Oak Bay Secondary School next TUESDAY, Sept. 27th.  Representatives from universities from across Canada will be in attendance to showcase their programs. There is a limited number of spaces available for grade 11 & 12 students from Claremont who would like to attend.  School bus transportation will be provided, leaving Claremont at 10:00 a.m. and returning at 12:00 noon.  Sign-up for students wishing to attend will be on a first come, first served basis.  Sign up information and field trip consent forms are in the Career Centre. 

Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp
Any students aged 16-18 years old interested in participating the March 2017 Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp on Pender Island, please see Mr. Arsenault as soon as possible in the Career Centre.
