Last Chance: NYC Spring Break 2017 Trip
There will be a meeting this FRIDAY at lunch for students and also at 5:30pm in the theatre to discuss the NYC trip. Friday's lunch meeting is for students to get info about the trip, but the Friday 5:30pm meeting is for parents to learn more about the trip.  See Mr. Plant for more details.

ATHLETICS
Field Hockey Club
Field Hockey Club meets TODAY right after school.  No experience needed.  Please see Ms. Taylor in the PE office for more information.  Remember to bring your participation forms.

Sr. Boys Volleyball Team - Bronze Medal
Congratulations to the Sr. Boys Volleyball Team who placed 3rd out of 15 teams at the Camosun College Invitational tournament this past Friday/Saturday.  The Spartans were third in the their pool (behind Reynolds and PCS) after Friday and were re-pooled for Saturday's matches.  Claremont defeated SMUS & Oak Bay in two straight sets.  In the 1/4 final Claremont defeated Timberline (Campbell River) in three sets.  In the semi final the Spartans had an epic battle with # 2 ranked Seaquam (Delta) winning 25-22, losing 25-27 and then  7-15.  The Spartans played solid defence and worked hard to earn their points.  All players contributed to this finish, and Lorenz Vogel was named to the All Star Team.

Grad Portraits
Grads:  It’s time to book your Grad Portrait photo shoot.  Lifetouch is bringing a portable studio to Claremont  starting next week on October 6th. You need to book your appointment now by going onto the Lifetouch website:  www.lifetouch.ca/victoria.  Photo brochures are available in the office. Don’t put this off, because the appointments book up quickly!
