MEETING TODAY AT LUNCH
LONDON 2018 Spring Break

An info meeting is being held TODAY at lunch in the theatre to discuss the potential for a Spring Break trip to LONDON in 2018!  Everyone welcome.  This trip is open to all Claremont students but is being proposed as a Fine Arts trip.  Email or see Mr. Plant for more info.  cplant@sd63.bc.ca   
PARENTS are welcome to attend.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Can Drive – PEP 10

The Pursuit of Excellence 10 program is holding a can drive for The Mustard Seed Foundation. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected all this week.  The donation bins are in the main hallway, outside of the office. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Claremont's Got Talent

Claremont's Got Talent is coming up at the end of April: April 25-28.  Please sign up on the theatre door, on your own, with a friend, or with a group.  Show Claremont that you've got talent!!

ATHLETICS
Shout out to Junior Girls Soccer!

Outstanding work and effort yesterday by our Junior Girl's Soccer team! First game of the season, and we tied Oak Bay 2-2.  Superb playing by everyone and unbelievable work ethic and attitude. The weather could not have been worse with Arctic winds and sideways rain. Very impressive! The girls never stopped smiling! Next practice is on TUESDAY after school. Game next THURSDAY.

Junior Badminton
Are you interested in playing some exhibition badminton games with other schools and maybe playing in a grade 9 or grade 10 City Tournament?  Be in the big gym right after school TODAY to practice and play.  Please see Ms. Taylor if you want to play the exhibition games, but cannot be there, so you will be included on the list.

CAREER CENTRE
Job Opportunity – Elections BC

Youth at the Booth - Student Employment Program.   Earn at least $250 for working a full day as an election official, obtain work experience/community service hours toward Grad Transition, and learn about elections and voting!  Applicants must be between 15 and 19 years of age, in good standing with school, and legally entitled to work in Canada.  Come to the Career Centre to find out more!

GRAD 2017
Yearbook Write-ups

Grads:  the deadline for submitting your yearbook write-up is the end of TODAY.  Log into the Claremont Website using your password, go to the Claremont Grad Page, and follow the steps to create your message. The limit is 250 Characters (this includes all letters, spaces and punctuation).  If you don't submit a writeup, nothing will be in the yearbook for you.  Late submissions will not be accepted.

Grad Transition
Grad Transition submission deadline is next FRIDAY, March 17th!  After this date, students who have not submitted their GT will be scheduled in for a formal interview on Tuesday, April 11th. Please note: a written resume + all GT forms will also be required at that time. Get your GT forms from the Career Centre.
