Report Cards

Report cards are being distributed in HomeRoom TODAY at the end of block 1. 

Board Games
Everyone is welcome to come play board games on WEDNESDAYS at lunch, in Room 215!  Bring your friends and join in on the fun! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Huber.

Photo Retakes Are in the Office

There are still many student photo packages and I.D. cards in the office, waiting to be picked up.

Girls Basketball Tryouts

Team lists will be posted this week, so please make sure if you want to be on either the A or B teams that you attend or at least see Mr Reisig.
Sr Girls tryout - TODAY after school, THURSDAY 2:30-4:00 (early dismissal).
Jr Girls tryout - TODAY after school, WEDNESDAY at 5:00pm (very important that if you want to play on the B team that you attend or see Me Reisig).

Jr Boys B Basketball
Jr Boys B practice - THURSDAY at 7:00 pm

Jr. Boys Volleyball

The Claremont Spartans Jr. Boys Volleyball team captured the Vancouver Island Championship! The boys had an impressive season to date, finishing first in league play, winning various tournaments, winning City Championships, and now the Island Championships for the second year straight! The victory comes as a result of a full team effort and grit; Shaun Schonert was named Tournament MVP with Crash Wergelend was selected to the All-Star team. The team will be heading to the Provincials in Kelown next week.

CAREER CENTRE
University Visits

University of Victoria will have a representative here TODAY at lunch in the Learning Commons.  Stop by to find out more about UVic programs and admissions!

Ryerson University
will have a rep at Claremont on THURSDAY, Nov. 16th at 8:30 a.m., in the Student Lounge.  Be sure to stop by for more information about Ryerson!

University of British Columbia will have a rep giving a presentation on THURSDAY, Nov. 16th at 2:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons.  This is an early closure day; be sure to stop by the Learning Commons for information about UBC after school.

GRAD 2018
Winter Gala Tickets

Grad class of 2018: tickets for your Winter Gala are on sale every day at lunch in the Student Lounge. The Winter Gala is a beautiful evening with a fully catered dinner and dancing to follow on Wednesday Dec. 6, 6:30-10:00 pm.  Tickets are $50.  Don't delay in getting your tickets; this event sold out last year.

All Night Dry Grad Committee
Parents of the 2018 grad class: the next Dry Grad Committee meeting TONIGHT at 7:00pm in the Learning Commons. 

The 2018 Dry Grad Committee urgently needs to fill the following positions:
*Donations and Prizes Coordinator
*Security Coordinator

Grad Transition
Congratulations to the 27 Grade 12s who have completed their GT!!  Yay!  This means there are still many more out there to do the same!  Remember to pick up your GT forms from the Career Centre and complete them while you can still arrange for your own Exit Interview!

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Vancouver Trip

Reminder to all International students who are going on the Vancouver trip TOMORROW (Wednesday): you must be at the ferry terminal foot passenger area no later than 6:30 a.m.   Please check Brenda's board for the itinerary.

The next pizza lunch for International students is TUESDAY November 21st in the big gym.

Peninsula Youth Health Clinic – New Hours

Important: Hours have changed - The Peninsula Youth Health Clinic is now open every Thursday from 5-7pm. Walk in's are welcome, but if you are interested in booking an appointment or would like more info, call the clinic at 250-656-4114.  Location: at the Ocean Pier Medical Clinic, (#207-2537 Beacon Avenue in Sidney)   This clinic offers completely free and confidential service in the areas of physical, sexual, and mental health for youth.  This Youth Clinic offers a judgement-free zone for all youth and is an LGBTQ safe space.
