On Thursday, April 19, Claremont is welcoming David Katz to give a presentation on how to solve ocean pollution. David Katz is founder and CEO of The Plastic Bank, the world’s only organization to monetize plastic waste and provide an opportunity for the world's disadvantaged to collect and trade plastic waste as a currency.
David is also the recipient of the 2017 United Nations Lighthouse award for Planetary Health, recipient of the Paris Climate Conference Sustainia community award and last December he gave a TED talk that has been viewed nearly one million times. To top it all off, in late 2017, he was invited to the Vatican for a one-hour audience with the Pope.
