GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Vancouver Drama Field Trip

All interested students in a trip to Vancouver June 16 & 17 to see 2 musicals and a play: please see Mrs Giordano for a permission form.  This trip is going to be EPIC.

Math 100 Students – Meeting TODAY
All students who have signed up for Math 100 for next year:  there is a mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in computer lab 225.

3D Printer Claremont Keychains
Get your very own Claremont keychain made on a 3D printer by our very own student, Braiden!  They are only $5 and are for sale in the Office. They represent Spartan spirit as well as many various clubs, teams and interests.... even grad 2018!!

‘Get Caught Reading’ Month - Final Week
The end of May marks the end of ‘Get Caught Reading’ Month in the Learning Commons. Please submit your reading selfies by the end of the week for a chance to win free pizza!

May is Relationships Month
Staff, keep your eyes peeled this month for students who are building and maintaining healthy relationships in the Claremont community, and nominate them for our Relationships Lunch. Students, have a look at the "3 Rs" posters to get an idea of what staff will be looking for.

Adrienne's Tea Garden at Mattick's Farm is hiring for 2 more dishwashers! 
The Gardens at Horticulture Centre of the Pacific on Quayle Rd has 3 great summer job opportunities: Gardens Assistant, Events Assistant, and a Youth Development Coordinator. 35 hours per week / $13.00 per hour, from the end of June to the end of August. 
Gardening help: Local resident on Searidge Drive is still looking for gardening help for 2-3 hours on weekends. NO lawn mowing required. $12 per hour to start.

Volunteer Opportunities
June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day! Volunteers are needed to help at an NIPD event going to be hosted in partnership with Royal Roads, the local First Nations and the Provincial Government. It will be a day full of learning, eating and fun events for families! If you would like to volunteer to help with the many activities happening on this day, please talk to Mrs. Marshall (Planning & PEP teacher).

Friends of the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, (DAO),  needs 3 artistic students, who love working with children, to face paint images of space and celestial bodies to help with the Observatory 100 year celebrations and DAO fundraiser!  Saturday, June 9th, from 4:15- 9:15 pm.  Please visit the Career Centre for more info.

Dry Grad Planning 2018
The Dry Grad Planning Committee invites all parent/guardians of the 2018 Grad class to follow the Claremont Dry Grad Facebook page to keep informed on the planning of the All Night Dry Grad at UVic.

International Luncheon TODAY

All International students who are going to the picnic luncheon today:  please head to the bus right at the end of block 2.  You will return in time for block 4.

COMMUNITY NEWS
Jr Shamrocks Lacrosse Game TONIGHT

Come out and watch some great lacrosse!!  The Jr Shamrocks vs the Nanaimo Timbermen, TONIGHT @ 7:30pm at the Q Centre in Westshore.  $3 for students.  Some of our very own Claremont LAX boys are on the Shamrocks team!!  Go Shamrocks!!

Peninsula Youth Clinic
The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.

Youth Clinic
The main Victoria Youth Clinic is open to all youth and is located at  818 Douglas Street on the 3rd floor. It is open Monday to Thursday 11-5 and Friday 11-4.
