Vancouver Drama Field Trip

OSEF Exchanges to Europe 2018/2019
Last chance to apply for a 2018/2019 reciprocal exchange to Europe with OSEF! Host your partner from August to November 2018, then live and go to school in France, Belgium or Spain for 11 weeks from February to April 2019. Deadline is fast approaching. Please see Mrs. Rhodes in the Career Centre for more information.
Trades Exploration (TEX) Program
Want to learn more about what it is like to work as a carpenter, plumber, electrician, or welder? There are still 7 seats available for next year’s Semester 2 Trades Exploration Program, provided in partnership with Camosun College. Learn about each trade, fast track your future and earn up to 24 credits toward grad for completing 6 courses! Please Mr. Arsenault or Ms. Loukes in the Career Centre for more information. They also have information on incentive grants and paid tuition for programs at Camosun related to the trades.

Quick furniture moving help this weekend wanted by a resident on Arsenault Place, close to Claremont. Two able-bodied students are needed to move a few pieces of furniture to a storage container and then back into the house a couple of weeks later. 30-45 minute job at $20/hour per student.
Adrienne's Tea Garden at Mattick's Farm is hiring for 2 more dishwashers!
The Gardens at Horticulture Centre of the Pacific on Quayle Rd has 3 great summer job opportunities: Gardens Assistant, Events Assistant, and a Youth Development Coordinator. 35 hours per week / $13.00 per hour, from the end of June to the end of August.
Gardening help: Local resident on Searidge Drive is still looking for gardening help for 2-3 hours on weekends. NO lawn mowing required. $12 per hour to start.
Volunteer Opportunities
June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day! Volunteers are needed to help at an NIPD event going to be hosted in partnership with Royal Roads, the local First Nations and the Provincial Government. It will be a day full of learning, eating and fun events for families! If you would like to volunteer to help with the many activities happening on this day, please talk to Mrs. Marshall (Planning & PEP teacher).
Friends of the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, (DAO), needs 3 artistic students, who love working with children, to face paint images of space and celestial bodies to help with the Observatory 100 year celebrations and DAO fundraiser! Saturday, June 9th, from 4:15- 9:15 pm. Please visit the Career Centre for more info.

Peninsula Youth Clinic
The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.
Youth Clinic
The main Victoria Youth Clinic is open to all youth and is located at 818 Douglas Street on the 3rd floor. It is open Monday to Thursday 11-5 and Friday 11-4.
