Lest We Forget
TODAY we are dedicating blocks 1 and 2 for our Remembrance Day assemblies, to honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who served our country, and those who continue to serve, in order to preserve our Canadian values and freedoms. Thank you to the men and women of our Canadian military: the soldiers, medics, equipment technicians, pilots, support staff and peacekeepers. This year is an especially notable year, as this is 100th anniversary of the World War 1 armistice. Lest we forget.
This morning, Poppies are available from the Royal Canadian Legion. Please wear a poppy proudly and give a donation for the Legion Poppy Fund to honour and support our veterans.
