GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
AP Chemistry
Students registered for AP Chemistry in second semester must see Mr. Ewan in room 206 to pick up their permission form and lab manual TODAY or TOMORROW. The first AP Chem lab is Monday at UVic. Students who miss this lab may be dropped from the course.
Canadian Computing Contest
Anyone interested in writing the Waterloo Canadian Computing Contest, please see Mr. Beeston this week.
Exam Schedule
The January exam schedule has been posted on the Claremont website. Please triple check your dates and speak with teachers about any conflicts.
Numeracy Exam
Any grade student who would like to write or re-write the numeracy exam, please sign your name on a list in the office. If you are currently in a grade 11 math class, your numeracy math assessment has already been built into exam week.
Night of Dance
The Night of Dance shows are next week on TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY nights at 7pm. Tickets are only $5 for Claremont students ($10 for all others), and are on sale at lunch in the dance studio starting TODAY.

Robotics Club
There is a Robotics meeting on WEDNESDAY at lunch for all members in the Robot Room. The next competition will be announced!

Volunteer Opportunity
UVic’s Tsukino-Con Convention is looking for volunteers to help with this year's anime, games and Japanese culture convention, February 22-24. Volunteers must be a minimum 14 years of age. Tsukino-Con is a non-profit organization that supports a variety of charities including Child's Play, the BC SPCA, as well as the Mustard Seed and UVic Food Bank. Lattitude Global Volunteering Presentation – Jan. 14

Yearbook: Grad Write-Ups
Grads, please make sure you submit your grad write-up for the yearbook. The submission needs to be done online with your GOOGLE account on the Grad Page. All instructions and the link are on the Grad Page and the deadline is January 31st.
Dry Grad Meeting TONIGHT
The next Dry Grad Meeting is TONIGHT @ 7pm in Learning Commons. Parents are welcome to come out to participate, share your ideas or simply learn about what is being planned.
Grad Photo Retakes – Jan. 21 & 22
Lifetouch will be back at Claremont for two days only, January 21 & 22 to do Grad Photo Retakes and take photos of students that missed the original date. The Lifetouch website is ready for grads to go online and book their appointments. Please go to www.lifetouch.ca/victoria or call 250-744-4100 if you require assistance.
If you are having retakes, please bring your original package and if you are having photos taken for the first time please bring the sitting fee of $25

The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.
