GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
TC 10k Run

Congratulations to all of the Claremont students, staff and families who ran or walked the TC 10k event yesterday morning.  What a great day for sunshine, fresh air, exercise and team participation.  Go Spartans!!

Fine Arts Students
Any student interested in attending the preview performance of Shrek on Thursday May 2 , @ 8pm - please see Mr Plant for a permission form.

Blood Drive – May 13
Lets roll up our sleeves Claremont and donate!  Canadian Blood Services will be in the small gym on MONDAY Monday, May 13th for a blood drive.  Each unit of blood collected will save 3 lives. Donors must be 17yrs or older to donate. See Ms Chapman for more details and to book an appointment.

Report Cards – April 30
Report cards will be distributed in Home Room TOMORROW (Tuesday) at the end of block 1.  There will not be an adjusted class schedule.

Kids Klub Centre is looking for fun, energetic and dedicated staff between the of ages 16 and 18 years old to join  their fun summer staff team at various locations around Greater Victoria.  $12.65 /hr, 30 hours/week, July-August. 

Red Barn Market on West Saanich Road is hiring.  Lots of positions available. Please apply in store.  Bring your resume.
Tim Horton's at Royal Oak is hiring! Several shifts available. Please apply in person with your resume.
Adrienne's Tea Garden at Mattick's Farm is hiring for a part time dish washer and ice cream server. Please see Mr. Arsenault with your resume for application information.

Volunteer Opportunity
May 11th is the 9th annual Anneswer To Cancer fundraising event, taking place at Finlayson Turf Field. This event has raised over $330,000 to date for Victoria Hospice, and they're looking for volunteers to help with face painting, loading, unloading etc.  A volunteer hours letter for hours can be provided upon request. Job Fair – Today
The Fairmont Empress is holding its last Career Fair of the season TODAY from 3:00-6:00 pm at the hotel. There are still quite a few positions available that are great for summer jobs. Check out the posting in the Career Centre for more information, or email taylor.acton@fairmont.com

Free Training – Face Painting
Introduction to Face Painting – Saturday May 4, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Shoal Centre, 10030 Resthaven Drive, Sidney.  This is a fun hands on workshop using You tube and imagination!  A great skill to have for volunteering or working at fairs, festivals or farm markets! More info in the Career Centre.

Grads: Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship. The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.
