Morning Basketball Class

All students in Mr Dunlop’s morning basketball class: there is a very important meeting TODAY at lunch in the big gym.

Spartan Day & Terry Fox Run/Walk – Sept 26

Our first Spartan Day is THURSDAY Sept 26! We’re also supporting the Terry Fox Foundation with “Toonies For Terry” this day.  This is a day to wear red, bring a "Toonie for Terry" have a school-wide Terry Fox Walk/Run and a fun lunch time (food truck, music and fun). More details to come!

Grade 12s: if you would like to help out with the Terry Fox Run on Sept 26, please sign up on the sheet posted outside the dance studio.


Robotics Club

Reminder to all students who were at the VEX Robotics meeting on Wednesday: you must return your forms to Mr. Paananen in Room 133 by the end of TODAY.

Work Experience & Camosun Apprenticeship Programs

A heads-ups for all students taking Work Experience or a Camosun Apprenticeship Program.  Please see Mr. Arsenault or Ms. Loukes this week in the Career Centre to update your status (we have moved the Career Centre to the counselling hallway). Mr. Arsenault is available each morning, and Ms. Loukes is available each afternoon this week.

Grad Council

There will be Grad Council meeting TODAY at lunch in room 310 today at lunch!


All grade 12 students interested in learning about this year's Scholarship opportunities: please come to a brief meeting on MONDAY Sept 16 at the beginning of lunch in Room 301 with Ms. Loukes.

Camp Qwanoes – Applications due Sept 18

Camp Qwanoes is filling up quickly!  Get your signed consent forms and payment into Brenda this week.  Space is limited.


Air Cadets: 676 Kittyhawk Open House – Sept 19

Have you ever wondered what Air Cadets is all about?  Come learn about the Air Cadets Program on THURSDAY Sept 19, 6:30-9:00pm, at 1979 DeHavillarn Way in Sidney.  The Open House will introduce you various training components, such as flying, marksmanship, survival and more. Open to all youth ages 12-18 and their families.

Peninsula Youth Clinic 

For all youth aged 12-24: the Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney (250-656-4143) and is open EVERY THURSDAY from 5:30 – 7:30pm, providing services for mental, physical, and sexual health. A doctor and mental health clinician is on hand. 

Walk-ins are welcome! Services are completely free and confidential in their judgement free zone.

-speak with a counsellor

-access to STI and pregnancy testing

-access to birth control
