Spartan Wear
If you missed picking up your Spartan Wear on Wednesday, clothing orders will be handed out again TODAY at lunch in the big gym. If you ordered a hoodie, sweat pants, or shirt, please come to the big gym to pick it up, about 10 minutes into the lunch hour (there will be a short basketball meeting at the very start of lunch, clothing pick-up to follow).
Spartan Day – Nov 25
Our next Spartan Day is this MONDAY Nov 25. Show your Spartan spirit and help send our FOUR volleyball teams off to Provincials! Wear RED and come watch our Sr Girls play against our Sr Boys at lunch in the big gym.

Student Parking – Registration Required
Reminder to all students who are parking in the student parking lot: you must be registered to park there. Permission forms are in the office. To become registered, the office needs: a parent-signed registration form, a photocopy of your driver’s licence, a photocopy of your car insurance, and $2 for the parking pass.

GAP Year Info Session – Saturday Nov 23
If you are interested in exploring GAP year opportunities, you may be interested in attending an information session presented by The Canadian Gap Year Association & International Experience Canada. Come hear about who should take a gap year, best practices for planning, and what universities and colleges think of gap years. There will be opportunity for discussion, Q&A and connecting with gap year experts and industry leaders. Come out and learn how beneficial a purposeful gap year can be for your future!

JDF Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp – application deadline Dec 18
Do you have what it takes to… Run into a burning building when everyone else is running away? Handle a hose so powerful it takes two people to hold it? Dangle off the end of a rope 50 feet in the air? Use the Jaws of Life and other tools to save someone trapped in a car?
The next JDF Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp runs March 16 – 21, 2020. Application deadline is December 18, 2019 - For information & applications, please visit the Career Centre. Upon completion, students qualify for 100 Work Experience hours, equivalent to 4 school credits.
Parent Night @ UVic – Nov 28
Parent Night is for the parents! Come to hear information about admission requirements for our programs, scholarships, and upcoming application deadlines, plus some advice on helping your student transition successfully to life in university. Winter Gala – Dec 4
Attention all grads. The Winter Gala will be on Wednesday December 4th from 7-10pm. Tickets are $25 each and will be sold in the Student Lounge each day this week during lunch.

Peninsula Youth Clinic
For all youth aged 12-24: the Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney (250-656-4143) and is open EVERY THURSDAY from 5:30 – 7:30pm, providing services for mental, physical, and sexual health. A doctor and mental health clinician is on hand.
Walk-ins are welcome! Services are completely free and confidential in their judgement free zone.
