Winter Concert – Tonight 7pm
The Claremont Music program presents a Night of Concert Bands TONIGHT in the Ridge Theatre, starting at 7pm. The Claremont Concert Band will perform a beautiful range of music, with a guest appearance from the Greater Victoria Senior Concert Band. Admission is by donation. Come by for an enjoyable evening of music!

Grade 9 Immunizations – Due Back Dec. 13
Reminder that the deadline to return immunization consent forms to the office is THIS FRIDAY Dec. 13. *There are a number of immunization forms waiting to be picked up still in the office.

Bus Passes are Here
If you are registered to ride the school bus, the bus passes have finally arrived. Please come to the office to pick yours up. The bus drivers will start asking to see them soon.
PAC Fundraising – Country Grocer Receipts
Support the Claremont PAC with your Country Grocer Receipts! Funds go towards the Breakfast Program, Grad 2020 and other clubs within our school community. Receipts can be dropped off at the Claremont office. Thank you!
Student Parking – Registration Required
Reminder to all students who are parking in the student parking lot: you must be registered to park there. Permission forms are in the office. To become registered, the office needs: a parent-signed registration form, a photocopy of your driver’s licence, a photocopy of your car insurance, and $2 for the parking pass.

Fantastic Basketball Results
A huge congratulations goes out to four of our basketball teams on four great wins last night! Our Junior Girls and Jr Boys A Teams both bested the Belmont Bulldogs in their home gym, which is always a great result, and our Sr Girls and Sr Boys A Teams played exciting home games and beat Royal Bay and Lambrick Park respectively! Way to go on the clean sweep Spartan Nation!!!
Girls' Lacrosse
Girls' Lacrosse (returning grade 11 & 12 players only): there is an IMPORTANT clothing meeting TODAY at lunch in room 276 (foods classroom) to look at the clothing/equipment choices.
All girls' lacrosse students will have a meeting early next week to fill out order forms for the lacrosse class.

Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp - Applications by Dec 18!
Reminder to sign up for the JDF Fire/Rescue Cadet Camp by December 18! Camp runs March 16 – 21, 2020. For information & applications, please visit the Career Centre. Upon completion, students qualify for 100 Work Experience hours, equivalent to 4 school credits.
Free Training in Computer Science at UVic
Students in Grades 10-12 can attend free training in Computer Science during winter, spring, and summer breaks at HighTechU, a division of UVic. Visit the Career Centre for more information!

Parents As Education And Career Coaches – Jan 30
Are you the parent of a high school student? Would you like to help them with their post-secondary choices? This is an interactive workshop designed to give you the skills and confidence you need. Educational Planner is presenting "Parents as Education and Career Coaches" on THURSDAY January 30th, 6:30 pm, at Stelly's Secondary School. There is no registration and parents can just come! Peninsula Youth Clinic
For all youth aged 12-24: the Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney (250-656-4143) and is open EVERY THURSDAY from 5:30 – 7:30pm, providing services for mental, physical, and sexual health. A doctor and mental health clinician is on hand.
Walk-ins are welcome! Services are completely free and confidential in their judgement free zone.
