The science department has been inspired by students' attention to detail and flair for the arts while completing assignments, and we wanted to offer a way to recognize students who have an eye for the arts in science!  Use those creative brainwaves and put your mind and hands to creating a piece of art that is somehow science-related.  Examples of types of art you can submit are physical and digital paintings, drawings, and imagery, sculpture work, photography (to the photography category), motion art (ex. Ruby Goldberg machines videoed to music), music.
Art will be judged by a panel of teachers from Claremont from the science or art departments for both accuracy of work, creativity, and skill. Each category will have a category winner, and then an overall winner will be selected.  Prizes will be announced soon.  Please email Ms. Nicole Crooks for further details.   ncrooks@saanichschools.ca
