GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Bus Passes

A new batch of school bus passes arrived this morning. If you were waiting to receive your bus pass, please come to the office TODAY at lunch time to pick it up. The office will be closed at 3:30 today so please do not wait until after school.


Alternating Schedule for Afternoon Classes

The A-B rotation schedule for afternoon classes has been posted on the Claremont website for the next two weeks for students and parents to refer to.


Athletics Meetings

All students in Mr Dunlop’s Morning Basketball class: reminder that you need to attend a very important meeting TODAY at lunch in the big gym. Please have your masks on and see Mr. Dunlop if you cannot make it.


Masks

Thank you to everyone for wearing masks all week when you are in high traffic areas where physical distance is not possible (hallways and washrooms). Today would be a good day to take your Claremont-issued masks home and give them a wash to keep them fresh. But remember to bring them back on Monday!!


INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Lunch Meeting

New and returning International students MUST attend an important lunch meeting on TUESDAY Sept. 22 in the Learning Commons. Lunch is provided. If you have any questions, ask Brenda.


CAREER CENTRE

First Aid Training

1st Level First Aid + CRP: Saturday October 24, 8:30-4:30.

Canadian Universities - Virtual Info Events

CUE - Canadian Universities Events - Connecting students to the finest post-secondary opportunities across Canada!

Students will be able to register and login for the CUE virtual events on the day that suits their schedule. Each attending CUE institution will be hosting online sessions during the times listed below, and we encourage students to explore these virtual booths with curiosity and an open mind. Student events are scheduled for:

GRAD 2021

Grad Lanyards

Grads: If you have not yet purchased a grad lanyard, please see Rachel Rickman in the student parking lot TODAY and all next week before school or at lunch . They are $5 each.


Grad Pinnies

Grads: If you still wish to buy a Grad 2021 pinnie, they will be available TODAY in the Accounting office with Ms Marshall. $25.


COMMUNITY NEWS

Peninsula Youth Clinic

Peninsula Youth Clinic is operating through Telehealth on Thursday evenings 5:30 - 7:30pm Appointments with doctors or mental health workers are conducted by phone or video. Services are completely free and confidential in their judgement free zone for any medical concerns, to get prescriptions, or to speak with a counsellor. To make an appointment, call 250-656-4143.


Foundry Youth Clinic

Foundry Victoria Youth Clinic offers young people ages 12-24 health and wellness services, with doctors, mental health workers, and peer support workers. Foundry is open for virtual and on-site appointments. To make an appointment, call 250-383-3552. Phones are answered beginning at 10:30AM on weekdays to schedule appointments for the day.
