GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
End of Day Time Shift: Block 2 Ends At 3:15
Starting in Quarter 2, the 15 min of Connect & Support time for Block 2 will be shifted to the START of the block, rather than the end. Therefore, once lunch ends at 12:30pm, there will be 15min of Connect & Support time that will run from 12:30pm-12:45pm and Block 2 will then start at 12:45pm. Similarly, the official end of the school day will move from 3:00pm to 3:15pm, which helps shorten the time students wait for the bus after school.

Mid-Day Busing Starting MONDAY Nov.16
As we change to the new quarter and new class rotation next week, there are new schedules for students riding the school bus mid-day to leave school and return home after Block 1 classes. The mid-day schedules are posted outside of the office for students. Parents and students can also check the schedule posted on a “Mid-Day Bus Schedule” billboard on the Claremont website. Note: All buses will leave the school promptly at 12:00 noon.
Quarter Two Timetables

Pyjama Day – Nov. 19
Claremont’s next theme day is Pyjama Day on THURSDAY Nov.19. Come to class in your favourite onesie or flannel pjs and fluffy slippers.
TEx (Trades Exploration)
Claremont is exploring the possibility of offering a TEx program in Quarter 3 (Feb 1–April 22, 2021). This program would be full days (blocks 1 & 2) for 10 weeks. Students would get to sample 4 trades: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing and Metal Work and would earn 8 credits. TEX is open to students in grades 10-12. If you are interested or if you have questions, please see Mr. Bussoli (room 217).

Peninsula Youth Clinic
Peninsula Youth Clinic is operating through Telehealth on Thursday evenings 5:30 - 7:30pm Appointments with doctors or mental health workers are conducted by phone or video. Services are completely free and confidential in their judgement free zone for any medical concerns, to get prescriptions, or to speak with a counsellor. To make an appointment, call 250-656-4143.
Foundry Youth Clinic
Foundry Victoria Youth Clinic offers young people ages 12-24 health and wellness services, with doctors, mental health workers, and peer support workers. Foundry is open for virtual and on-site appointments. To make an appointment, call 250-383-3552. Phones are answered beginning at 10:30AM on weekdays to schedule appointments for the day.
