PEP 9: Bottle Drive (Nov 29) for Comfort Kits
Six PEP 9 students have set out to provide some kindness to hospital patients who may be needing some cheer this holiday season. We are raising funds to make Comfort Kits by having a bottle drive in Claremont’s parking lot THIS SUNDAY Nov. 29, 10am – 2pm.
Each comfort kit will be made up in a decorated paper bag that includes: a compostable 12 oz cup, an individual package of peppermint tea or hot chocolate, two commercially pre-packaged cookies and a handwritten note that will describe our project and include a positive message. We hope to fund at least 100 care kits for patients and provide them by Dec. 13th.
If you are one of the homes in our school neighbourhood who received a pamphlet about our bottle drive, please tape the pamphlet to the bag with your empty returnables and leave it at the end of your driveway for us to pick up. Alternatively, please bring your returnables to Claremont’s parking lot between 10 am - 2 pm on Sunday November 29th. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
