Claremont Year-Long Drama: April 14-17
Claremont Year-Long Drama presents "TRAP," a play by Stephen Gregg. April 14-17 nightly at 7pm via Livestream. Tickets: $10 per household (plus service charges). Link to purchase tickets is on the Claremont Secondary website.
Brace yourself for an incomprehensible event: every person in the audience of a high school play falls unconscious; every person but one. Using interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders, and the investigators pursuing the case, a theatre ensemble brings the story of the strange event to life, documentary style. Unnerving, exhilarating and wildly inventive, you've never walked into anything quite like “Trap.”
Quarter 4 Timetables
Quarter 4 timetables are being finalized. They will be handed out to students THIS THURSDAY & FRIDAY April 15/16 in block 1. If students don’t have a block 1 class, they can pick up timetables in the office on those days.

After School Homework Club
For all students who would like extra help in Math, English, Science or Social Studies: help from Education Assistants is available on TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 3:00-4:00 after school in room 235 (computer lab). All students in all grades are welcome
Peer Tutoring
Another avenue for students to get help with academic studies (Math, English, Science, and Social Studies) is to work with a Peer Tutor. We have volunteer Peer Tutors who are ready to be paired up with students asking for some extra help. If you are interested in having a Peer Tutor, please see Mrs. Wadsworth in the Learning Commons.
Mid-Morning Breaktime Food Service
Reminder that the Spartan Store is open every morning for breakfast and snack service 10:00-11:00, with reasonably-priced hot drinks and morning treats. Cash or lunch cards only.

Student Career Options Webinar: For Parents – April 15 & 20
WorkBC.ca is facilitating a one-hour interactive webinar to help parents and caregivers support youth as they explore career options. This virtual event is designed for parents of grade 9-12 students wanting to enhance their career coaching skills and gain exposure to WorkBC.ca tools to help with their youth’s career path. Smile Cards
One easy way to support the 2021 Grad class is to use a Thrifty Foods Smile Card for your grocery shopping. Thrifty Foods will donate an amount equal to 5% of the dollars you load on to your pre-assigned Smile Card to the 2021 Dry Grad. Smile Cards can be picked up at the Claremont office.

Grad Package: Part 1 – Due TODAY
Grade 12’s: VERY IMPORTANT!! The “Grad Package, Part 1” is due TODAY. The link to complete the Grad Package is on the Grad Page of the Claremont website. You must be logged into your account on the Claremont Website to access this.
Part 1 of the grad package asks for your important submissions to your virtual ceremony grad movie. Instructions for both submissions are on the Grad Page:
1) Please write a message you want everyone to hear when your photo is shown in the Virtual Ceremony Grad Movie.
2) Please upload two photos of you (one as a baby/toddler and one of from middle school).
Magic Wand Project
Magic Wand Project is a non-profit organization that offers an inexpensive and eco-friendly alternative to grad outfits for both girls and boys. This is a chance to borrow, rather than buy, a dress, suit or tux, (a small fee for cleaning is the only charge). All outfits are new or like-new, and all accessories are included. Any student is eligible.

District and School Scholarships – Applications Due
Reminder that Claremont grads are eligible for over $50,000 in scholarships! Apply online at the Claremont Website. All applications are due by April 23. For more information, check out the Scholarships Handbook, the scholarships website, or see Ms. Tong in room 323.
Student Transcript Service
Grade 12’s: Did you know that YOU can access your own transcripts from the Student Transcript Service website? You can view your transcript and/or send them to a Post-Secondary Institution of your choice, at any time. It is easy to make a BCeID account on the Student Transcript Service. Peninsula Youth Clinic
Peninsula Youth Clinic is operating through Telehealth on Thursday evenings 5:30 - 7:30pm Appointments with doctors or mental health workers are conducted by phone or video. Services are completely free and confidential in their judgement free zone for any medical concerns, to get prescriptions, or to speak with a counsellor. To make an appointment, call 250-656-4143.
Foundry Youth Clinic
Foundry Victoria Youth Clinic offers young people ages 12-24 health and wellness services, with doctors, mental health workers, and peer support workers. Foundry is open for virtual and on-site appointments. To make an appointment, call 250-383-3552. Phones are answered beginning at 10:30AM on weekdays to schedule appointments for the day.
