GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Wendi Marshall is Retiring

Wendi Marshall, who has been our Claremont Accountant since 1999, is retiring!  Every student, at one point or another, has interacted with Wendi each time they have made any kind of payment, asked for change, needed a lunch card, checked to see if they ordered a yearbook, signed up for a parking permit, etc etc etc.  TODAY, Friday January 28, is Wendi’s official last day of work.  We will miss her laughter, her exuberance and her genuine commitment to our students and school. Wendi will be at the Accounting office on & off next week helping to transition our new accountant, so students will have an opportunity to say good-bye.  We wish her a fabulous retirement!!

Absences and Illness

A reminder that parents/guardians notify the school office every day that a student will be absent from school. PLEASE indicate if the reason for absence is for illness; the Ministry of Education requires that schools specifically track how many student absences are due to illness.  The Attendance Line is easy to find under the Quick Links on the Claremont web page which gives the option of reporting absences by email:  claremont_attendance@saanichschools.ca or by phone message: 250-658-6666.

Please perform BC’s K-12 daily health check before arriving at school by clicking HERE .
