Hello, Claremont community - Happy Fall! A few updates below:


CPAC Fall/Winter Budget Approved 

Thank you to parents who joined CPAC at the recent October meeting. Funding requests were reviewed and approved. Additional funding requests can still be submitted in the coming months for further review. Recent CPAC Minutes with budget details attached.


ELC Field Trip - Huge Success

Attached is a news article summarizing the recent student field trip to Camosun, regarding the Early Learning and Care Program (provided via secondary schools with the South Island Partnership). 


BCCPAC Update

We are looking forward to hearing from the Deputy Minister of Education and Child Care, during our DPAC Summit in November, with an update on current issues in public education. Parents are welcome to submit questions for the Deputy Minister by November 1st.


Join Saanich Youth Services in partnership with Saanich Police for a FREE Gang Education & Trends Seminar

This is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to better understand the trends police are seeing in our community.  In this workshop, participants will have the chance to ask all the questions they need to. Gather all the up-to-date information from police officers and youth workers in our community. Everyone from all walks of life and all corners of the community are welcome.This workshop is best suited to parents or caregivers with students in grade 6 – 12 or, adults who work with youth in that age category.

CPAC Exec - further details upcoming:

  • Planning for a CPAC led fundraiser that will benefit Claremont students 
  • Saanich Police - conference on Tuesday, November 21t (7:00pm – 8:30pm) at Claremont Secondary is planned for parents/caregivers to understand trends police are seeing in our community impacting young youth/teens. This conference will be followed by a brief CPAC meeting.

  • Planning for the Claremont Winter Staff Appreciation event in early Dec
