PAC Meeting & Saanich Police Presentation

Our next Claremont PAC meeting is set for Tues Nov 21st @ 7:00 pm, and it will begin with a special presentation in our Claremont Ridge Theatre with two members of our local Saanich Police (specifically from their major crimes unit) to present on gang trends both in Saanich and the Lower Island as a whole. We have heard that this is a topic that many parents would like to learn more about and ask questions on, and as such we chose to set up a live presentation from 7:00-7:30pm.  At the end of the presentation, we will move to the Learning Commons to hold our regular PAC meeting from 7:40-8:10pm; if you would like to join the later portion of the evening virtually through Microsoft TEAMs, please use the following LINK.

We will send out another reminder closer to the event date.

Volunteer opportunities in the community

Please see the attached posters for details.

These family-friendly activities are for all ages and focus on facilitating connections between people, trying and learning new things, exploring local greenspaces, and feeling part of a community, all while having a positive environmental impact. Letters confirming volunteer hours at any of these activities will be written upon request.

Volunteer activities will involve removing invasive species from parks in View Royal and North Saanich to help increase biodiversity and make the area more resilient!

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! ALL AGES, backgrounds and abilities are invited. Gloves, tools, snacks, educational instruction, and a small thank you gift will be provided.
