Tree Chipping

A weekend of successful fundraising for the Claremont Key Club and for all the charities and organizations they support, marked a great start to the new year. Over Saturday, January 5th and Sunday, January 6th, Christmas trees were brought to Claremont Secondary by the community, and chipped up for a donation of five dollars or more.

The Club raised over $1000. This could not have been possible without the donation of time and means of so many. The Claremont Key Club would like to give a huge thank-you to the community for their generous donations, to Claremont Secondary for allowing the grounds to be used, and last but most certainly not least, to Kurt Rodd (Cordova Bay Tree Service) for extending his services for free, and the use of his equipment for chipping the trees. Thanks to all who participated in any way, the Claremont Key Club was able to have another successful fundraiser.
